Is it as bad as the newspapers say?
Are we on the verge of World War Three?
Will we be overcome by refugees swarming
fleeing their homes cause of global warming?

Everyone’s being told there’s no way forward
for children everything is going backwards.

Individual responsibility
all given way
metastasised digitally
tomorrow’s AI.

But is it as bad as the news people say?
Are we really on the precipice of World War Three?
Isn’t a climate constantly evolving?
Weren’t dinosaurs thriving
on a planet that was tropical?

The world seems crazy but what can you say?
To speak of certain topics
needs some agreed upon permission
or risk the possibility of rejection and derision.

Depressing discussions to be avoided by all means
diminishes the opportunity to dispel lies
share a soothing pot of tea
agree that every cloud...
