House by the sea: unfinished plans and forgotten things - series: abandoned places of Pattaya.

My post yesterday received a good response, and this gave me an idea: if people like abandoned places so much, then it's time to look for a new story. There were only two hours left before sunset, so I didn't think long. I quickly got ready, put my son on the bike, and we went to explore the streets of Pattaya in search of new mysteries of the past.

Abandoned buildings are common in Pattaya, but every time I go inside, I feel a special atmosphere. These places seem to be imbued with the stories of people who lived here, dreamed and planned their future.
An hour later, we managed to find a two-story house, which is located just 150 meters from the sea. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary house abandoned a few years ago, but once you cross the threshold, you find yourself in a world of unfinished plans.

On the first floor, there are rooms where chaos mixes with hints of past plans. In one of them, there are huge piles of packages with laminate, doors, and glass panels. Apparently, the owners bought everything for the renovation, but were never able to bring their plans to life.

The toilet and sink have long since fallen into disrepair, but even through the devastation, it is clear that the interior was planned with love.

My gaze was drawn to a woman's handbag lying in a pile of junk. Curiosity won out - I looked inside. Empty.

An old Samsung phone was lying nearby. This small artifact of the past made me wonder: was the owner able to make at least one important call from this phone? What could he be talking about?

On the second floor, the picture is even sadder. The wooden staircase is fragile, some steps are missing, but I managed to climb up.

The rooms have empty walls, no signs of furniture. Only a mat on the floor and a bottle of alcohol suggest that homeless people spend the night here.

Behind the house, another surprise awaited me: dozens of new ceramic tiles, piled up in a heap, as well as window panes, whole and broken. All this was left here, as if the owners left in a hurry, without realizing their plans.

When I photograph such houses, I can’t help but think: what if the owner comes in now? What will he say when he sees me studying the traces of his past? Maybe he will tell me what exactly happened and why the house turned into ruins. But no one came.

This house is not just an abandoned house. It is the story of a dream that never came true. And perhaps there are more such stories in Pattaya than I think.
