Hi splinter farm,
Welcome to my weekly dose of splinterlands content. This week has been a good week for me; well so far as I hope that more good comes out during the week.
I’ve not been able to hit my 9k sps target yet. I was kind of hoping before this season started I’ll be there already but 5 days into the new season and I’ve not gotten there yet. I have about 8. Something k which is also good but not the target yet. I think I’ve said it in one of my posts that I’d wish to enter the new year with 10k staked sps all from battling. If I had decided to purchase a bit I think I would have been over 10k by now. But I don’t think I’ll enjoy it much if I purchase it when I can play everyday to get it.
So today I’ll be writing about tactics. In this battle I was shocked cause the battle had a quick turn around pretty quickly. Why do I say this? I am saying it cause I thought I had defeated heloise in round one only for it to resurrect 6 times. Yes, 6 times.
Even since the intro of heloise I’ve heard only two people talk of defeating it. Yes, it very beatable but I think you’ll have to expect it in a game before you can beat it. In my case since I am mostly In diamond I didn’t think I’ll face it. I thought anyone who could afford it would probably be in champion or even in diamond one most of the time, not Diamond III. (Even for someone renting it, it’s not cheap as well)
So my opponent came with a famous tactics summoner the reklah summoner, a death summoner with 5 mana. It has two options. You either go with the -2 health to 2 of your opponent cards or you go for reflection shield for two of his cards.
Let’s forget about the tactics summoner for now and talk about heloise. Resurrecting 6 times in a game can pretty much win you any game. After it resurrects it goes on to attack the card that killed it. The heloise is a 9 mana card with 8 melee attack, it has 3 speed and 7 health. It looks like a normal card but look at its abilities.
It has the Taunt ability, the opportunity, spite which means when it’s defeated it has a 100%(guaranteed) chance of coming back to life, it has soul siphon which also means as long as there is a non weary allied unit, it’ll self resurrect and and also come back with 50% of its health.
Having the taunt ability and also the fury ability at play in this game meant I was always going to kill it with my first attack. Well, I did and each time it came back and retaliated with its spite ability.
I doubt there are a lot of counter attacks for heloise the hollow unless you’re expecting it like I said. You can take a look at the battle here to see for yourself.
