Almost Same Formation but Higher Damage and Blind Ability Lead Us to Victory

Hello, everybody, how are you? Today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Rise of the Commons ruleset.
I usually battled in the Modern Format Diamond League using my 2 scholar accounts from Balthazar scholar bltzr-wizard-710 and bltzr-wizard-711.

Ruleset
- Equalizer ruleset, all monsters have the same HP based on the highest HP the monster has in the battle.
- Heavy Hitters, all monsters have the Knock Out ability.
- Knock Out ability, does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned. - Rise of the Commons, only monster with rare and common rarity can be used in this battle.
- mana cap.
- can use all elements except Water element.
My Lineup and strategy
- For Rise of the Commons ruleset I don't pay attention to it cause I do not memorize all types of rare and common units, so I just look at the elements who is suitable for the other ruleset in this battle which is Equalizer and Heavy Hitters., if I can't find a good unit on the element then I try to look it to another one.
elements to have in the battle according to the other rulesets in this battle, but if I can't find it then I will look to the other element - We will try to bring a unit with Stun ability for
Heavy Hitter ruleset - The most important ruleset in this battle I think is Equalizer, rule number one for this ruleset is that u must always bring a Healer (unit with Heal/Tank Heal/Triage ability) because the HP of all units is high, and the Heal ability become more effective in this ruleset.
My Favorite element to use in the Equalizer ruleset is Earth element because the healer can attack. This is my Lineup :

Have Void, and Shatter abilities | We use this summoner because having the Void ability can decrease the enemy magic attack by 50% so we can focus to handle the melee and range damage, Shatter ability will destroy all armor from the monster we hit with only 1 attack. | |
Mycelic Infantri, 1st position, attacker and tanker. It has the ability Shield,Giant Killer, and Enrage. | Put this here as a main tanker because it has Shield ability which will decrease the enemy melee and range damage by 50%. Combined with Void ability from the summoner this monster now can decrease the damage of all attacks by 50%. Giant Killer ability will make double damage if it attacks a monster with 10 or more mana costs. This monster's weakness is slow speed. It has great damage especially when the HP decreases and activates the Enrage ability, which boosts the damage and speed of this melee unit. | |
Fungus Flinger, 2nd Position, attacker and support. Have Martyr, Blind, and Affliction abilities. | In this battle we need this unit Affliction ability. It has a 50% chance to inflict upon attack on the enemy monster, when the enemy monster gets Affliction status it can't be healed again. I guess that the enemy will use the same unit with the Taunt ability, this unit's main job is to stop the enemy unitHeal** that unit. Although the Martyr ability (if this unit dies will boost all the unit stats adjacent to this unit) is good, in the Equalizer ruleset this unit is not easy to kill so we can't rely too much on this ability. It has good support abilities though like Blind which increases the chance to evade the enemy melee and ranged attack by 15%. | |
Venari Seedsmith, 3rd position, attacker. Has Scavenger and Poison abilities. | High damage range unit. Every time a unit dies the hp of this unit will increase by 1. It has 50% chance to inflict Poison status every attack. If the enemy got Poison status, each round the HP will decrease by -2. | |
Goblin Psychic, 4th position, attacker and support. Have abilities Heal, Affliction, and Silence. | This monster main job is to heal our tanker monster in the front. This unit has many good support abilities, but the speed is only 1 easy to die when attacked by the enemy, so I put it in this position to make sure it's safe from the front and back attack, at least for a while. The Silence ability will decrease all enemy magic damage by -1. The Affliction ability is the same ability like Fungus Flinger. | |
Uloth dhampir, 5th position, attacker and support. Have Stun, and Triage abilities | Triage ability will Heal the unit not in the first position with this unit, and Goblin Psychic we have 2 healers who can coverage front and back. The Stun ability has a chance of 50% to be inflicted upon each attack. the enemy who get this status will skip 1 turn. This attacker will support the ruleset Heavy Hitters to do double damage. | |
Mycelic Slipspawn, 6th position, attacker and tanker. Have Taunt, Forcefield, and Slow abilities | We use this monster because of the Taunt ability to split the damage between tanker in the first position, prolonging the life of our tanker in the first position. All enemy units will attack this monster if they can. The Forcefield ability will decrease all damage from the monster who has 5 or more damage to become only 1 damage. This monster has Slow ability which decreases all enemy speed by -1. |

The enemy unit is almost the same as us, We use same healer strategy, but we win this battle because :
The enemy sacrifices 1 attacker with this unit Lurking Puffer to decrease our magic damage, but due to the use of Immortalis summoner the magic damage from the start does not give too much damage, if decreasing again and sacrificing attack damage I think not good strategy :
This make our damage higher than the enemy so we can kill the enemy Mycelic Slipspawn faster then focus on attacking the enemy unit in the first position.Our Fungus Flinger Blind ability makes some range damage missed although the speed is the same, like the example below :
Uloth Dhampir Stun although working not give to much difference because the next attack that hits the unit that got stunned already can kill it without needing to double damage or it hit with a magic attack so only small damage like this one :
