Next Set of Rewards for the PKM:SPS Liquidity Pool

We have just completed the distribution of the initial rewards for the PKM:SPS liquidity pool that we started last March 24. Since then, the PKM:SPS pool was able to give out various tokens such as PKM, VOUCHER, SWAP.HIVE, SPS, and DEC to the liquidity providers. Despite the continued increase of users adding liquidity to the pool, the PKM:SPS pool was able to maintain a decent APR and had an APR of 49% towards the last day of the initial set of rewards.

As we've mentioned on the PKM whitepaper, the PeakMonsters team is donating portion of profits as rewards in the liquidity pool. We started saving up for this new set of rewards immediately after the rewards pool period has started last March 24. We gave you a glimpse of what we already have in store three weeks ago in this post, and now it's LIVE!

We will now be starting the distribution of the second set of rewards pool for the PKM:SPS liquidity pool.

Rewards Pool Details

The PKM:SPS liquidity pool providers will be rewarded with over $13,800 (at current market price) or approximately [$114] per day over a course of 120 days. This puts the average APR of the liquidity pool at presently at 33%.

The white paper found at https://pkm.peakmonsters.com/ indicates there is a possible lifetime pool of 25m PKM to go towards LP rewards... all tokens already in the pool came from the team and profits.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

PKM is a token to give extra incentive to purchasing items off PeakMonsters.com we recognize that if the token was more valuable it would incentivize more users but the value is decided by the users... but let's give you a bit more background because we're adding tokens to the reward pool to make you all happy to get PKM and to also have incentive to add to the liquidity pool.

The original ratio between PKM and SPS started at 10 to 1 it quickly moved down to 5 to 1 (like in 1-2 days) and then during the rest of the 120 period it hovered most of the time around 4.5 to 1 ... since we started selling DEC for PKM in preperation for pool #2 it has since gone down to 4 to 1 (aka getting better and better)

Long story short: thus far PKM has been very very very price stable when compared to SPS itself... even a bit stronger.

The next biggest thing to consider as a custodian of the funds proffered by the white paper is that Peakmonsters.com has a HUGE update coming up where PeakMonsters.com users will need to spend/burn PKM in order to use a whole set of new features on PeakMonsters.com. There is a possibility that with enough users and a lower amount of PKM distribution by the reward pool that PKM in fact has the potential to become deflationary.

However we also recognize even with lots of PKM given to liquidity pool providers that there are very very few people selling PKM so with more PKM being distributed it still may not impact price via supply.

We do have 24 of the 25 Million PKM still available for the lifetime of these pools.

We also have like 22hrs before the first distribution from the pool.

REWARD POOL LIVE : MORE CAN BE ADDED
Based on user feedback we can still add more tokens to this pool. Even though there is already $13,800 in tokens in the pool we can add more after a bit of time for your feedback.

Note that the APR value of 33% may move up or down depending on the price movement of the tokens in the rewards pool.

What's next for PKM?

Aside from tournaments and rewards that the liquidity providers get in helping build a large more stable PKM:SPS pool, we have much more in store for PKM holders. We have been thoroughly working on a new premium products and we are excited to share it with you in a separate post at a later date. So be on the lookout for that. 😉
