Listing bullshit

I like a good top 10 list just as much as the next bozo, but usually they are things that are kinda obvious and it is just nice to have them organized nicely.

It seems to me though that if you start looking for lists of the best places to live or anything really to do with travel that all logic breaks down.

To be fair there are some like Panama which makes such a list as both cheap and rather safe, and I have no qualms with that. Obviously because according to me Panama is the only dodgy country that is not as dodgy as I thought.

Then it goes batshit very quick and they start mentioning Columbia, Thailand and Ecuador.

Frankly if South Africa was on any travel list I would like the author to be sentenced for homicide. I think many of these countries should implement the same.

The worst one I have found even lists Libya, Syria, India and Pakistan.

Some of the ones who try to be edgy but still basically live on the blood of babies list Cambodia, Argentina and Mexico.

Now I think it is rather simple, and I am 100% speaking out of my ass here but you cannot have any Asian, Middle-East, African or South American countries listed as great places to live and travel without having the burden of proof.

It goes without saying there will also be eyebrows raised if you list Chicago or Eastern Europe.

So yes exceptions exist ie Panama and I forget the other. Now I doubt there can be any exception for a place like Cambodia or Thailand.

I realise I have reduced the world down to basically Antarctica as the ideal place to live and if they had good internet and a safe supermarket it would be the ideal place.

All in all as I peruse "Cheap places to live." I would need to keep in mind that everywhere is shit but will it be less shit.
