Two sunbird species in here.

Juveniles all over the place now, and this one is a Malachite Sunbird.

The specie name of the Malachite Sunbird is Nectarinia famosa.
We have a great fondness of sunbirds, as I have posted them regularly in my blog, but then we also have a fondness for all wild birds. In nature they have a world of their own, and they also live in the freedom that their world grants them. All for free. Just imagine a life like that! No commitments, no financial needs, no rent, no worries, and you get food every day. All for free.
I digress as usual, but this above are the thoughts that cruise through my mind. I don't know where the world went wrong, but since the money god has stepped in our lives have gradually deteriorated. Nowadays so bad that the world has become toxic. People will do anything for money, even stab others in the back, but they don't realise that whatever they steal, will never last.
So, come let's rather look at the sunbirds.
And now, let me show you the young one.
This is a juvenile Southern Double-collared Sunbird (Cinnyris Chalybeus), and he can already sing their famous song.
Oh yes, he kept his eye on me.
Sipping nectar from the flower tubes.
A little Cabbage Butterfly will serve as a line break.
Finally, another 2 shots below of the malachite sunbird.
It knew that I was near, but I was not a danger to it.
Just a lovely pose.
It feels like things are getting more desperate these days. Huge unemployment numbers, stress resulting in illnesses, and what not. My thought is that we should build foodbanks to feed the unemployed every day, and maybe the freedom of the birds could also be replicated if we do this. I am talking about the poorest of the poor and the dream would be to build shelters that can house everyone.
Not an impossible dream, as nothing is impossible, it is only going to take a lot of work and negotiations to get this going. Even the poorest of the poor have pride, and if not then restoring that pride will be a priority. I hate the thought of little children going to bed hungry, and it is forever working on my mind. Maybe we can do something about this soon.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
