Grand Celebration//A Day To Be Remembered By All

Hello everyone
Hope you all are doing great?
I received a call last night from my mom, we spoke for a very long time. I remembered she told me that yesterday was our Obi's birthday and the 5th year of his coronation. Though I was feeling sleepy so I couldn't write anything last night, but I told her to send me some of the pictures and she did.
I was also told that yesterday was also the grand open of the new palace in my hometown. I could imagine how the celebration was, I know it was a very big celebration, though I wasn't there but I was told the whole story. I would have love to be there life to witness such a memorable occasion but it was so unfortunate that I was occupied with school activities.
Like my mom said that the new palace is very big and beautiful and it was well decorated with many beautiful things and the Obi's pictures (King) was also used to decorate the whole new palace. It was indeed three celebrations in one day, which were: 5th year coronation, 30th birthday celebration and grand opening of the new palace.
Ever since he was crowned the king, my home town have known nothing but good things. First there was nothing like electricity, but when he became the king, he provided electricity for his people. My village is one of those villages that lack water supply, but since he became the king, he had made provision for water. Everyone in my home town loves the king so I could imagine the kind of love he received from his people yesterday 😌. It was really a celebration to remembered for a life time.
Happy Belated Birthday to the king who has made things easier for his subjects and who in his own way has taken his subjects to be his main priority, I wish you many more years in good health.
The event looked so colourful as many traditional music players were available to show their own love to the king. The chief were well dressed in their attire and with their red caps. I could remember my mom telling me that most of my uncles went to the celebration because they're also chiefs. I would have loved to go so I can give detailed information about the celebration.
I didn't remember to ask her the reason why this men were putting on purple rope around their neck but I'm sure they belong to a group in my hometown and since it was a big occasion, they had to put it on in order for people to differentiate them from the chiefs. I think they're also chiefs in their own way.
You can also see in the first picture that those on white attire are sitting on a separate chair, those on purple ropes are also sitting in their own separate chairs, while those at the back are also some other set of chiefs discussing and enjoying themselves.
I was also told that before the chiefs went to sit down, they went to greet the Obi (king) one after the other with their wives standing at the corner wait for them. Sorry I couldn't get the pictures of the chiefs extending their greetings to the king.
There was enough food and drinks for everyone present at the ceremony. Many danced to their heart content, I know if I was there, many people would have noticed me because I will definitely take over the stage dancing and celebrating with everyone. It was really a day to remember by everyone in my hometown.
