I suspect the state/social media alliance is currently implementing a psyop and encouraging people to say negative things about Elon.

We can disagree about, you know... tax policy or cultural issues or whatever the latest decision from the fed happens to be and all that.

But if you hear about US intelligence agencies actively using powerful third party gatekeepers to censor on the government's behalf in order to directly affect the results of a US election or American acceptance of government policy and it doesn't piss you off, I do tend to question just how American you even are.

It's been annoying, but not because I'm a fan of Elon (I am). But let's say all the attacks on him are true. He's insecure and a hypocrite and trying too hard to be edgy and bit off more than he could chew after making a bad business decision. I think there's some truth to all of that.

But to make these attacks while he's releasing information about how organizations like the FBI actively worked to suppress stories they literally, provably knew to be true in order to affect an election across several media platforms, that government suppressed information relevant to public policy over COVID that we now know to be true that could have affected how the public responded, all that? I mean... That's not just misplaced priorities. That's useful idiot cat's paw stuff right there.

It's gross af, especially when I see it from groupings that realize how evil the FBI has always been and supposedly share some foundational American principles.

I'd obviously be disappointed if Elon had gone all Kanye Nazi on us, but if he had while this information was released, that's still not the damn story.

Everybody is flawed, and there's plenty I think he did wrong, but the story is obviously the government using the 2012 NDAA to conduct a propaganda campaign to influence the American people in a direction they'd prefer by using third parties to skirt around the first amendment.

Trying to make it about Elon instead is infuriating, and I'd think so if he was somebody I hated as well.
