Pozas de Belsué📍 Huesca [Eng][Spa]

Despite being a little disappointed for not having been able to follow the main plan, we undo the few kilometers we had done enjoying this time a little more of the landscape and saying goodbye to the only point of interest that we found on the way, the ruins of the Casa del Romeral.

I will keep for another time, in case I can return, to visit the edge of the dam of Cienfuegos and the Dolmen de Belsuén.

What is comforting is the feeling of being on the right track when you find yourself in an area with more people, although there were not too many, and with signs of the route and its maps. Goodbye to the feeling of being lost!

A pesar de estar un poco decepcionados por no haber sido capaces de seguir el plan principal, deshicimos los pocos kilómetros que habíamos hecho disfrutando esta vez un poco más del paisaje y despidiéndonos del único punto de interés que encontramos en el camino, las ruinas de la Casa del Romeral.

Me quedará para otro momento, en caso de que pueda volver, visitar el borde de la presa de Cienfuegos y el Dolmen de Belsuén.

Lo que sí es reconfortante es sentirse encaminado al encontrase en una zona con más personas, aunque no había demasiadas, y con avisos del recorrido y mapas de las rutas. ¡Adiós sensación de estar perdidos!

In this way we were able to follow a small route, correctly signposted and marked on the public map as the R2 Pozas de Belsué that took us to the area of the natural pools and through which we found the ruins of a fairly well preserved church.

De esta forma pudimos seguir un pequeño recorrido, correctamente señalizado y marcado en el mapa público como la R2 Pozas de Belsué que nos llevó hasta la zona del balneario y por el que encontramos las ruinas de una iglesia medianamente conservada.

After crossing a bridge in the middle of the route, the temperature became much more pleasant and the trail continued along the edge of the Flúmen river.

At first I thought that this was the Pools because it did not seem to me that further up, where the route continued, there was more water, I just thought that we chose a bad time to go and that the high temperatures had dried everything.

But as we continued advancing, a wide stone slope opened up before us, where there were wells with an average depth of 2 meters and crystal clear water.

The water fell into the rock formations in the shape of a staircase from the top of the mountain. Pure spring water

Luego de cruzar un puente a mitad del recorrido comenzó a hacer una temperatura mucho más agradable y el recorrido continuó siempre por el borde del río Flúmen.

Al principio pensé que eso eran las Pozas porque no me parecía que más arriba, por donde continuaba el recorrido, hubiese mayor cantidad de agua, pensé simplemente que elegimos un mal momento para ir y que las altas temperaturas habían secado todo.

Pero al seguir avanzando se abrió ante nosotros una amplia ladera de piedra en la que había pozos con una profundidad media de 2 metros y un agua súper cristalina.

El agua caía en las formaciones rocosas en forma de escalera desde lo más alto de la montaña. Agua pura de manantial

They are beautiful formations, the gradient color that is generated within the small natural pools is dreamy. They are distributed along the mountain and with the few attendees we were able to have one of the largest just for us for a while.

When submerging the sensation is quite strong. If it was about 34 ºC the water must have been about 7 ºC or something like that, very, very cold. It was either go in without thinking about it or stay out as many did. I did not make a trip there to go just to watch so without thinking too much I went in and stayed in for a while.

It is true that at first it is a very drastic sensation, but then you get acclimatized, on the shore as the stone is hot it makes a very nice temperature contrast and it is very nice.

Son unas formaciones preciosas, el color degradado que se genera dentro de las pequeñas piscinas naturales es de ensueño. Están distribuidas a lo largo de la montaña y con los pocos asistentes que había pudimos disponer de una de la más grande solo para nosotros durante un buen rato.

Al sumergirse la sensación es bastante fuerte. Si hacía unos 34 ºC el agua debía estar a unos 7 ºC o algo así, muy pero muy fría. Era entrar sin pensarlo o quedarse fuera como muchos hacían. Yo no hice un viaje hasta allá para ir solamente a observar así que sin pensar mucho entré y me quedé dentro un buen rato.

Es cierto que al principio es una sensación muy drástica, pero luego te vas aclimatando, en la orilla como la piedra está caliente hace un contraste de temperatura muy agradable y se está muy bien.

After enjoying the icy water for a while, we went up a little further following the Pozas that followed one after another. We got to see different shapes in the rocks that made smaller bathing places where they took the children and even where there were some little fish.

It was an uncrowded area and so there were more animals and lots of mosquitoes so we went back to where we were at first, which was the best place of all.

We had a great time until hunger began to call us and we decided to undo the road being already quite fresh and go to a nearby village where we had been recommended a typical restaurant in the area.

Luego de disfrutar un rato de la gélida agua, subimos un poco más siguiendo las Pozas que se sucedían. Llegamos a ver distintas formas en las rocas que hacían lugares de baños mas pequeños en donde llevaban a los niños e incluso en donde había algunos pececitos.

Era una zona poco concurrida y por lo que había más animalejos y muchos mosquitos así que volvimos a donde estábamos en un principio, que era el mejor lugar de todos.

Lo pasamos muy bien hasta que el hambre comenzó a llamarnos y decidimos deshacer el camino estando ya bastante frescos y dirigirnos a un pueblo cercano en donde nos habían recomendado un restaurante típico de la zona.

So we arrived to Arguis, a super small village where just after entering is the restaurant that had been recommended to us called Ca la Silvi and another bar further on, nothing else.

It is one of those rural villages with charm, very nice streets and old structures preserved and on the other hand large family villas that match the environment.

As a sample, I thought the entrance of the restaurant was beautiful, quite rural and contrasting with the natural roses in the windows.

We arrived at 2:00 pm just in time for lunch and we were the only diners, on the terrace there were more people having a drink and chatting but they did not come in to eat. The person in charge took care of us in a very correct way and located us so that we were as comfortable as possible.

Así que llegamos a Arguis, un pueblo super pequeño en donde nada más entrar esta el restaurante que nos habían recomendado llamado Ca la Silvi y otro bar más adelante, nada más.

Eso sí, es de esos pueblitos rurales con encanto, muy bonitas calles y estructuras antiguas conservadas y por otro lado grandes chalets familiares que hacen juego con el entorno.Como muestra le entrada del restaurante a mí me pareció preciosa, bastante rural y haciendo mucho contraste con las rosas naturales que tienen en las ventanas.

Llegamos a es de las 14:00 h justos para la comida y éramos los únicos comensales, en la terraza había más personas tomando alguna copa y charlando pero no entraron a comer. El responsable nos atendió de manera muy correcta y nos ubicó de forma que estuviéramos lo mas cómodos posible.

The atmosphere is quite pleasant, it's a small place but with a nice layout. They have a small bar with tapas to try some snacks before the meal and a grill inside that I imagine they use in winter when heat is not a problem, although it was quite cool during our visit.

I decided to have a beer while I studied the menu, the cuisine they prepare is very typical Aragonese and homemade. I had heard very good things about this place because they offer hearty dishes full of flavor.

We decided to order the whole spread and try the most representative dishes on the menu. To start a couple of tapas from the bar stuffed mushrooms and stew croquettes, they were both to repeat, too bad that the croquettes were already finished, they told us that they are so good that they are always finished quickly, and it is true, they are very creamy and full of flavor, you can hardly notice the flavor of the bechamel with how powerful the flavor of the stew was.

El ambiente es bastante agradable, es un local pequeño pero con una distribución agradable. Tienen una pequeña barra con tapas para probar algún bocado antes de la comida y un grill adentro que me imagino utilizarán en invierno cuando el calor no es un problema, aunque estaba bastante fresco durante nuestra visita.

Decidí tomar una cerveza mientras estudiaba el menú, la cocina que preparan es muy típica de Aragón y casera. Me habían hablado muy bien de este lugar porque ofrecen platos contundentes y llenos de sabor.

Decidimos pedir de todo unto y así probar los platos más representativos del menú. Para comenzar un par de tapas de la barra champiñones rellenos y croqueta de cocido, estaban los dos para repetir, lástima que las croquetas ya se habían acabado nos comentaron que son tan buenas que siempre se terminan rápido, y es verdad, son muy cremosas y repletas de sabor, casi no se nota el sabor de la bechamel con lo potente que estaba el sabor del cocido.

As starters we decided on patatas bravas, with a spicy sauce on the side which is appreciated, which we already liked because we had a view of the kitchen and we could see how they were prepared in a totally natural way, a point in our favor. We also ordered an escalivada, a kind of warm salad that was also very good.

As for the main courses, we had to try the most typical dishes and I think the selection was quite correct. Longaniza, lamb, oxtail and pork are essential in the local cuisine.

All the dishes were up to par, full of flavor and above all with a very soft and natural texture. For the lamb and pork they use low temperature cooking which requires a longer preparation, so they were the dishes that took the longest to serve, but the wait was well worth it, the meat separated without much effort.

I have to say that the oxtail cannelloni surprised me a lot because it was sprinkled with cinnamon, it gave a nice touch to the sauce that covered it and it was something unexpected but pleasant.

I was very satisfied with this visit and wanted to come back, the homey taste of the dishes was very comforting and I don't know what they do with the fries but they are addictive, the ones served with the dishes were soaked with the juices of the meats and were unbeatable.

Casa la Silvi wonderful place to stop and enjoy a delicious meal in the town of Arguis.

Como entrantes nos decidimos por una patatas bravas, con la salsa picante aparte que se agradece, que ya nos habían gustado porque teníamos vistas hacia la cocina y veíamos cómo las preparaban totalmente naturales, punto a favor. También pedimos una escalivada, una especie de ensalada tibia que también estaba muy buena.

En cuanto a los platos principales, había que probar lo más típico y creo que la selección fue bastante acertada. Longaniza, cordero, rabo de toro y cerdo son esenciales en la cocina de la zona.

Todos los platos estaban a la altura, llenos de sabor y sobre todo con una textura muy suave y natural. Para el cordero y el cerdo utilizan la cocción a baja temperatura que requieren una elaboración más prolongada, por lo que fueron los platos que más tardaron en servir, pero la espera mereció mucho la pena, la carne se separaba sin mayor esfuerzo.

Tengo que decir que el canelón de rabo de toro me sorprendió mucho porque llevaba espolvoreado canela, le daba un agradable toque a la salsa que lo cubría y fue algo inesperado pero grato.

Quedé muy satisfecha con esta visita y con ganas de volver, el sabor hogareño de los platos fue muy reconfortante y no sé qué hacen con las papas fritas pero son adictivas, las que iban servida con los platos se empapaban de los jugos de las carnes y eran insuperables.

Casa la Silvi maravilloso lugar para detenerse a disfrutar de una deliciosa comida en la localidad de Arguis.

We ended the tour walking around Arguis and discovering that there is a path to approach a water dam and has a Ermita that is quite well preserved.

Apparently it is a rural destination that can serve for a country weekend plan, having such a good restaurant there I do not rule out returning to do the hiking trail that starts from there.

It has been a walk with unforeseen events but of total disconnection, which has served to continue discovering the charming places that this region has to offer.

Finalizamos el recorrido paseando por los alrededores de Arguis y descubriendo que hay un camino para acercarse a una represa de agua y tiene una Ermita que se conserva bastante bien.

Al parecer es un destino rural que puede servir para un plan de fin de semana campestre, teniendo un restaurante tan bueno ahí no descarto volver para hacer la ruta de senderismo que parte de allí mismo.

Ha sido un paseo con imprevistos pero de desconexión total, que e ha servido para seguir descubriendo los encantadores lugares que puede ofrecer esta región.
