Hello guys, Trust you’re doing well. On todays episode of exploring with me, we are going to dive into the history of some places in Ghana. In my previous [post]() I spoke about how I went on a trip with some friends from school to tour the whole northern region of Ghana.

First, we made our way to the Mole national park of Ghana which I spoke about already. Today, I’m taking you all the way to the Larabanga Mosque located in the Larabanga township in the Savannah region. It is know to be the oldest mosques in Ghana and even houses a very old Quran. This mosque still serves its purpose as indigenes in the community still go there to perform their 5 daily prayers.

The mosque was built with only mud and stick as that was how buildings were put up in the olden days. Most mud houses have collapsed or either been rebuilt with cement blocks but this mosque still stands.

Moving on, allow me introduce you to the mystic stone also located in the Larabanga town. Most people believe in mysteries and miracles and I believe visiting this stone will be a dream come true for such people. First, let’s talk about how this stone always managed to get back to its original place even after it was moved countless times.

According to history , it was moved by people in charge of road construction so as to put up the road as it should be, but this stone kept coming back to its origin every single time until the road had to be made at a different path. People believe that anyone who writes his or her wishes on this stone will live to give their testimony as every single one of them will come to pass. Who doesn’t want a miracle? Not me, so I also joined everyone to write my wishes down hoping they will also come true. But in truth, it was all for fun.😂

People were also allowed to give out some money as a form of charity because we believe that there’s blessing in giving so, in as much as you want to be on the receiving end, you should also be ready to give back. We were eventually done writing all our million and one wishes and finally took our leave. This was one hell of as experience as it has been a while I visited places like this to learn more about the history of my country.
