Sunshine Doesn’t Run Out

Recently, I had an encounter with a group of people and being the person that I am, I picked up some vibe from some people in that group. It all balls down to the fact that these few people I am talking about among the lot weren’t really happy for their other friends. They acted like they were happy for their friends win when they lowkey wished it was them and probably even kept questioning why it wasn’t them. I get that we all want to win, but we need to come to terms with the fact that we can’t always be on the sunny side. On some days, we need to get soaked in the rain for others to enjoy the sunshine.
Life is very short. And all that we are fighting for on this earth, we will leave behind someday. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t work hard to achieve anything for ourselves, we do have to. In doing all this, we need to sometimes reduce our level of competitiveness as it can get very toxic. Not everything in life is a competition- you should know where and when to compete. There’s no need envying for friends and wishing them bad just because they were able to achieve half of what you have achieved. You need to push these people around you because they would do same for you on any day.

There’s no day I don’t encourage my friends to go for what they want. I root for them and support them in any way possible because they’d do that and more for me. Life is a lot better if we all win. The world is big enough to accommodate all our wins. No one in my circle is my competition. The goal is to grow together and hopefully, every one of us learns this too.
