How are you today? It's great to see you in my latest post. I wish you a day full of energy and good fortune.
Do you know what pomelo is? Normally, we buy pomelos to eat the the flesh within it and discard the peels, but today I'd like to introduce you to a dish made from the pomelo's white pulp which is between the flesh and the pomelo's peel. You need a little patience to get rid of the bitter taste of pomelo's peel. Despite the fact that there are many stages to completing this sweet soup, the results will not disappoint you. 1. Ingredients for pomelo sweet soup

100gr peeled green beans
A pomelo about 1,1kg
150gr tapioca starch
20gr salt
300gr sugar
300ml coconut cream

  • Soak green beans in cold water for three hours.

  • Chop the pomelo's white pulp which is between the flesh and the pomelo's peel into pieces and peel off the pomelo flesh.

  • Remove the inner layer of pomelo pulp because this layer is often fibrous, cut the pomelo pulp into small pieces.

  • Add 15gr salt and 25gr tapioca starch into pomelo pulp, then squeeze and pour in water to soak for 30 minutes.
  • To make the pomelo pulp less bitter, squeeze and wash it seven more times.

  • Cook a pot of boiling water, then remove it from the heat and let the pomelo pulp soak for 10 minutes before pouring it out, washing it with cold water, and squeezing the water out.

  • Mix together 25 g tapioca starch and 50 g sugar in 100 ml water, then pour into the pulp and mix well. Then add 25gr tapioca starch in pomelo pulp and mix again.

  • Cook the pomelo pulp in a pot of boiling water until it floats, then remove it and place it in a bowl of ice cold water to soak for 10 minutes before draining.

  • Steamed green beans for 20 minutes.

  • In a pot, bring 1500 mL of water, 250g of sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt to a boil. 85g tapioca starch dissolved in 100ml water, placed in a pot of sugar water, and thoroughly mixed. Then add the green beans and grapefruit pulp, return to a boil, and remove from the heat.

We make coconut milk to enhance the flavor of the sweet soup

  • 1 cup of water Stir together 1 teaspoon salt, 25g sugar, and 2 tablespoons tapioca starch. Then bring to a boil, add 300ml coconut cream, stir well, and remove from heat.
