This drawing is for the Doodle Magic Drawing Challenge: 302 by @theithei, but it will also serve as my entry for @artofkylin’s challenge, where we’ll be drawing 28 different bugs. From the moment I saw this week’s shape, I imagined it could be the base of a mushroom, one of those classic fairy‑tale amanitas, red with white spots, growing on tree trunks. And if there are mushrooms, why not insects too? Little by little, these two small orange beetles appeared, climbing over the mushroom. I loved the final result, and I think it more than fulfills today’s goal: both doodle and bugs. It’s one of my favorite drawings of the week. I’m already excited to participate with a new doodle and more insects. I’d also love your help choosing which insect I should draw next.

Este dibujo es para participar en el reto de Doodle Magic Drawing Challenge: 302 de @theithei, pero también tendrá el objetivo de pertenecer al reto de @artofkylin, donde estaremos dibujando 28 bichos distintos. Desde que vi la forma de esta semana imaginé que podía ser la base de un hongo, de esas amanitas típicas de cuento de hadas, rojas con manchas blancas, que crecen en los troncos de los árboles. Y si hay hongos, ¿por qué no insectos? Así, poco a poco surgieron estos dos pequeños escarabajos naranjas trepando sobre el hongo. Me encantó el resultado final del dibujo y creo que cumple con creces mi objetivo de hoy: tanto doodle como bichos. Es de mis dibujos favoritos de la semana. Ya estoy ansioso por participar con un nuevo doodle y más insectos. También me gustaría que me ayudaran a escoger cuál será el próximo insecto a dibujar.
