Today marks the start of the much awaited celebration of Educators’ Week, with the theme “Unite, Create, and Celebrate.” This event is a collaborative effort involving education programs such as BEED, BTLED, and BSED Math, along with educators, staff, and mentors.
The celebration is packed with activities designed to enhance skills, boost confidence, and showcase the unique talents of students and future educators, promoting their holistic development.
The event kicked off with a lively Zumba session. As we stood up to join, I was struck by the sheer number of education students present it felt like we had taken over the entire gym! The crowd was alive with screams and cheers, each team enthusiastically supporting their fellow educators. We danced and sang together, creating an atmosphere that was both fun and exciting.
The first activity of the day was an oration competition, followed by spoken poetry. Listening to the unique and heartfelt pieces was truly inspiring.
Each word they spoke carried meaning, evoking emotions that resonated deeply with the audience. Their expressions and delivery were captivating, leaving us motivated to persevere and never give up.
After these performances, we had a one hour break to allow the representatives to prepare for the infographics presentation. During the break, students showcased their angelic voices and impressive dance talents.
From what I observed, education students are not only competitive but also incredibly gifted. This event provided a chance for everyone to unwind after the hectic demands of schoolwork.
As noon approached, we were pleasantly surprised by a special gesture from the educators’ staff a free lunch! The meal, which included lechon, fried chicken, pancit, and soft drinks, was a treat that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. We eagerly lined up, enjoyed our meal, and felt grateful for the thoughtful preparation.
Once lunch was over, we got ready for the speech choir competition. This was a challenging but rewarding activity, as the teams were divided by year level.
For the first time, we had to present without relying on guidance from higher levels. To add to the pressure, our team was the first to perform. Despite our mixed emotions, we gave it our all and were proud of the effort we put in.
The other teams that followed delivered performances that were exceptionally synchronized, with impeccable gestures and emotions. Their execution was truly impressive and left us in awe. The competition was intense, as everyone gave their absolute best, making it difficult to predict the winner.
After the speech choir, we moved on to the talent showcase. Each program demonstrated its unique flair through singing, dancing, acting, and playing musical instruments a total package of talent! Following this, we enjoyed a cosplay segment, where students impersonated famous personalities who made significant contributions to education. Despite the limited preparation time, their performances were outstanding and left us thoroughly entertained.
There are more exciting activities lined up for Educators’ Week, so stay tuned, Hivers! Thank you for reading my blog.
