Happy new day, month and year to everyone on the Blockchain and more importantly it's a happy resumption to all of us. I believe that most establishments are opening and starting work today including schools around even though my younger ones are still lazying around the house. Nobody wants to resume school on resumption day 🤣🤣 not after having a very joyful Christmas celebration.

The story around this peplum blouse is a funny one. I came around a thread in Facebook where designers where laughing at each other that even after making beautiful wears for everyone on Christmas day that failed to adorn themselves in new apparel. This is exactly the story of my life.

I have to search back and forth for something presentable that I can wear for the Christmas Celebrations as I didn't eventually had the time to make something for myself.

I wanted to see if I could design a lovely peplum blouse with a matching skirt for myself on Christmas Eve

I started with cutting the fabric here

The front and back piece were all cut out and how I managed to cut a blouse out of a yard of fabric still baffles me.

With the remaining piece I marked and cut out flair for the lower part of the blouse

In the next step I was able to cut the lining for the outfit in the same manner which I had cut the fabric.

And then it was time for stitching.
I was lucky that there is power supply hence I was able to use the electrical machine for sewing. I started with stitching the necklines and turning them over with the linings here

Right after that I proceeded to create the dart lines on my outfit. I often like to dear the dart lines first before picking them out so that I can have the dart align properly and more fitted.

After joining the shoulder lines, it is important to check the fitting of the outfits before doing the final closing, that is what I did here spreading the upper bodice on the ground.

Joining of the side seams and the stitches were the next step I did and was able to put the blouse together here

The last and final challenge was getting a sleeve for the blouse and making it ready for my Christmas wear the fabric was exhausted and since it was already late there was no accessories in sight that I could get. This was how I got frustrated out of my effort to make a new Christmas wear for myself. Ever since Christmas I have resumed my sewing fully.

I should be resuming my own sewing office any moment in this week and hopefully let's see what the new year has to offer our fashion business.
