I made a reservation at a restaurant and went to eat. We thought it would be a good place to eat, so we decided to go there. It was indeed a memorable experience. I think this was a good use of my money, because I believe that money should be spent in a way that leaves a lasting memory. When we entered the restaurant, there were people in suits having some kind of business party. I talked to my sambo about how glad I was that we didn't come wearing a T-shirt, and we took our seats. It was a pretty solid restaurant, with the chef coming to greet us during the meal, and the service was really excellent. The server was a young woman with tattoos on her arms, which is different style from the one we receive in Japan, but I think it is this kind of unpretentious but upscale atmosphere that makes a Swedish-style restaurant so special.

レストランに予約して食事を食べに行った。又にはよいかと、かなり奮発して決めたレストラン。確かに悩んで決めただけあって、思い出に残るレストランになった。お金の使い方としては、思い出に残ってこそだと思うので、これはよいお金の使い方だったと思う。レストランに入ると、スーツを来た人が何かのパーティーをしていた。間違って、Tシャツ着てこなくてよかったねとサンボと話をして席に着いた。食事中にはシェフが挨拶に来るなど、結構しっかりしたレストランで、サービスも本当に素晴らしかった。腕にタツゥーが入った若い女性がサーバーであるのが、日本とは違うけど、そういった気取らないが高級感を演出できるのがスウェーデン風のレストランなのだと思う。

It's not just when you go to a restaurant that you will remember. I also remember a good memory when we eate at a local pizza place and having a seriously large kebab pizza there. The Swedes' idea of putting kebab meat on a pizza and making it as a kebab pizza is a little funny, but it tastes good, so I guess it's okay. If they made this type of pizza in Japan, it might be prosperous. At the restaurant, a father and daughter came together and talked to the father about how they were working hard at the driver's license office to get their license. I thought to myself that my Swedish listening ability had improved even a little bit, and I thought I would continue to study Swedish.

記憶に残るのはレストランに行った時だけではない。近所のピザ屋に食べに行って、そこでまじで大きなケバッブピザを食べたのも思い出に残る。ケバッブの肉をピザに乗せて、それをケバッブピザとして作るスウェーデン人の発想に少し笑えるけど、味がいいのでまぁ、いいかと思う。日本でもこのタイプのピザをつくったら繁盛するかも。レストランでは父親と娘が一緒に来て、運転免許所で頑張って免許所を取得している話を父親にしていた。少しづつでもスウェーデン語の聞き取り能力が上達したと、自分でも思い続けてスウェーデン語を勉強しようと思った。

I am sure it is these Swedish strawberries that I would like to eat again in Sweden after I go back to Japan. Strawberries are really in season from June to July in Sweden , and you can see stalls selling strawberries in many places. "Swedish strawberries" have become a brand name and are sold at a higher price than strawberries imported from Germany or other European countries. I wonder if it is the same as the high price of "Japanese eel" in Japan, and enjoy the taste of the season every year during this season.

スウェーデンでまた食べたいなと思うのはきっとこのスウェーデンイチゴだと思う。本当に６月から７月にかけて、イチゴが旬を迎え、色々な場所でイチゴを売っている露店を見かける。「スウェーデンイチゴ」がブランドになっていて、同じイチゴでもドイツや他の欧州諸国から輸入したイチゴより高値で取引されている。日本では、「日本産うなぎ」が高値で取引されているのと同じ感覚なのかなぁと旬の味をこの時期毎年楽しんでいる。
