Splinterlands gaming: Best Battle of the day
1 comment
Greetings to everyone on my gaming moment today. I hope you are all well. Those who play Splinterlands regularly know that there are days when the joy of winning consecutive matches is different. Today was just such a day for me. Today I played several ranked matches in the Silver League, and two special battles were "Battle of the Day" for me.

The specialty of these two matches was their completely opposite rules or rulesets and the two powerful Archons I used—Marlai Singariel and Nidhoggr. Let's see the story of my victory round by round through screenshots.

First Battle: 13 Mana Tactical Battle and the Magic of Marlai Singariel
My first match was a Modern Ranked match in the Silver II League. This match is very special to me because the mana cap here was only 13 (13 Mana).
Ruleset and Preparation
There were two rulesets in this match:
What Doesn't Kill You: All units will have the Enrage ability.
Equaliser: This was the main factor. The unit with the most health on the field will have the same health as all others.
I chose Water Archon Marlai Singariel. Her specialty is that she gives +1 magic attack to all friendly magic attack units. Magic attack is the best way to bypass physical armour in a 13 mana match.

Card Selection:
I used Daigendark Surveyor, ability my tank- Returns 50% of damage to attacker (rounded up) when hit by a magic attack.
+50% melee power and speed (rounded up) if not at full health.
And I didn't choose the Halfling Refugee card in the second position of the tank, because this card had the ability.
Weary
At the beginning of round 1, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannotretaliatee.
Enrage
+50% melee power and speed (rounded up) if not at full health.
My plan was to use a magic card with low health due to the Equaliser ruleset to damage the opponent. So I used it as a shield without any attacking cards at first.
And the third card I used was a great magic card. Shock Trooper. This card has a lot of magic attacks that can easily be noticed by the opponent.

Round by Round Analysis
Round 1:
As soon as the match started, I saw that my plan was successful. The opponent brought Water Divine,r and because of their high health units, even my small units got huge life. Due to Marlai Singariel, the magic damage of my Shock Trooper in the third position increased, which initially penetrated the opponent'armouror and started directly reducing life.
Round 2:
In the second round, the Enrage ruleset was activated. After getting hit, my speed and that of my opponent increased. But there was no chance of my magic attack missing. As you can see in the screenshot, my Daigendark Surveyor was holding the frontline very well, and from the back, the Shock Trooper was weakening the opponent with its increased magic power. Not only that, my first position card was reflecting the opposition's magic, meaning that if the opposition used magic, he would automatically receive damage from me again, which was a plus point for me.

Final Round and Victory
After only 3 rounds of intense fighting, I won very easily. The performance of my low-mana cards using tEqualiserzer ruleset was incredible.

Battle 2: 80 Mana Monster Battle and Nidhoggr's Devastation
My second match was the exact opposite of the first. Here, the mana cap was 80 (80 Mana)! In such a huge mana match, I use the most fearsome dragon archon in my collection, Nidhoggr.

Ruleset and Challenge
The ruleset for this match was quite difficult:
Heavy Metal: All monsters will have armor or armor.
Healed Out: No healing abilities will work.
My Archon Selection:
No healing - I took Nidhoggr to take advantage of this opportunity. As you can see in the screenshot, Nidhoggr reduces the enemy to -1 Armour and -1 Health before the battle starts. Reducing 1 Health in a match without healing means pushing the enemy to the brink of death.

Round by Round Analysis
Tactics Stage:
My lineup was monstrous. I took Give Blast and Deathblow to 3 Units:-
Deathblow:- Deals double damage if the target is the only enemy unit remaining.
Blast:- Deals an additional 50% damage (rounded up) to units adjacent to the target.
I made full use of the 80 mana with heavy hitters.

Round 1:
See the screenshot from just before the match started (Round 1, 3/25). Nidhoggr's debuff has started working. The enemy's armour and health have been reduced. My Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut and Warborn Shaman started attacking at lightning speed in the first round. Since it was a Heavy Metal ruleset, armour breaking was essential, and Nidhoggr had already reduced the task by 1 armour.

** Round 2:**
Check out this screenshot from Round 2 (5/18). The enemy frontline is almost completely destroyed. My Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut is enraged and has probably activated his Bloodlust with a kill, which has increased his stats even more. Warborn Shaman is tearing through the enemy defences with his double strike. The enemy is unable to recover their losses due to a lack of healing.

Round 3 and Finish:
At the beginning of Round 3 (4/6), look at how pathetic the enemy is. My Barashkukor's blast damage and Titan's relentless attacks are making it impossible for even the strongest cards in the opponent to survive. The screenshot clearly shows how my serious damage dealers are dominating the field. Finally, I get a dominant victory in this huge mana battle.

What I learned from these two matches today is how important it is to understand not just the card power, but also the right Archon and ruleset to win.
Marlai Singariel's magic boost was a game-changer in the 13 mana match.
Taking advantage of Nidhoggr's debuffs and healing off in the 80 mana match was the best decision.
Splinterlands has become even more exciting. After today's win, I strengthened my position in the Silver League and earned quite a few reward points.
Thank you for reading my blog. How was your battle today? Don't forget to comment. See you on the next Battleground!
