Visiting Trikuta Mountains

In December, 2024, we had to attend a marriage ceremony in Deoghar, Jharkhand, India. Deoghar is popular for Mahadev Temple, called Baba Baidyanath Temple. Trikuta mountains is located in Jharkhand and can be seen from the road while going towards Basukinath from Deoghar. On our way back from Basukinath which is also famous for Lord Mahadev Temple, we visited the hill. It was wonderful experience, even though I have visited mountain area before in 2001. There were around 3,00,000 monkeys in the mountain area. You can see them in my photographs. So many monkeys around you, it looks awesome but be careful, they attack visitors if they find them carrying any bag or their hand in pocket. They think visitors are carrying foods. You need to keep your baggage safely in vehicle before riding the hill.

In Trikuta mountains, visitors could reach on its top using trolly which is now stopped due to accident in the past. Unfortunately, we missed the view from the top Trikuta mountains

There was a huge parking area allotted to vehicles near the mountains.

Can you count the numbers of monkeys? I have already mentioned around 300000 monkeys are living there as per local people.

There was a ashram on the mountains. It is said that a devotee performed penance and had a vision of God.

This child has been dressed up to look like Mahadev.
