Exploring the Realm of William's Park and Farm

It has been a while that I have been travelling to the city and happened to pass by an area that really caught my attention. Later did I realize that it was a farm and a park as well.

William’s Nature Park and Farm and by Golden Manok Native and Seafood restaurant, launched their soft opening last December 8, 2022 as the park welcomes visitors from all over Cebu.

This exquisite place is located in Barangay Laaw, Borbon, Cebu. It is just along the National Highway, We are just using a motorcycle that is why it only takes thirty-minute-drive to reach our destination.

My curiosity drives me to explore on this enchanted location in one sunny day. One of the staff greeted us as we enter the vicinity with fascinating astonishment. He led us to the reception area where the restaurant is also visible. The staff in the reception table was so tactful and generous while offering us the specialty of the restaurant. "Golden Manok Native and Seafood Restaurant" offers a very affordable and delicious food and desserts. It was a mouthwatering delicacy that is very hard to say no to it.

This is the well-designed dining area, which is the heart of this realm, it seems so tempting to settle in and savor each moment. If you've got the chance to visit this place, you will surely enjoy your meals sitting in this rectangular tables and comfortable plastic red chairs.

If you choose to enjoy your meal in a beautifully curve wooden tables and chairs. These well-varnished tables will surely accommodate you.

In the main entrance, we can see these two lions that seem to be guarding the area. I am one of the many people who are wondering why most people are fond of decorating lions and putting them in front of their establishments.

Maybe it is because they see those attributes that they wish were true within themselves. Lions represents greatness majesty, strength, courage, justice, and might. I think that’s why people see them as something to behold. But anyway, these lions are something I find extremely attractive. They seem friendly and gentle but constantly give warnings at the passers-by, "Don't miss up with me" (lol)

One of the most appealing features in this place, is the flowing water from the fountain which goes directly to the pond with colorful fish on it, its ability to create a soothing environment, a calming effect that could help reduce stress levels to the people around is an extraordinary experience one can have when you visit the place.

I grab the picture above from the face book page of William's Farm and Park fb account. The picture was taken during nighttime, this area was installed with different colored lights which creates a magical and soothing effects to the eyes, especially during the night. However, I did not get the chance to take a picture of the area during nighttime.

The dome-like-kiosk, a structure that provides sightseers shelter from rain and too much heat from the sun, it is surrounded with well-carved statues.

This man-made cave in is accessorized with pricy and sought-after plants. I am sure plantitas will surely love the area and will have the hardest time resisting temptation of picking one.(lol).

Another place in the area that fascinates me in particular is this grass carpeted place, decorated with potted dwarf bamboos and well-made pathways.

There is this four-sitter mushroom inspired shaped, that is a perfect spot for individuals who likes to relax and take a rest after loitering around the place.

The unique heart-shaped design can also be seen in the area.What makes this shape so special? This is surely the best and perfect place for a photo op with your significant other. This shape is a powerful and versatile symbol that represents love, compassion, and romance. Whether it is used in romantic gestures, or any artistic expressions, the heart shape will continue to inspire and touch people's hearts for generations to come.

The other side of the mountain is a six-hectare farmland. Along the pathways, a fruit-bearing chilis are placed and arranged accordingly.

As we tour around, we came across this vibrant and well-taken care of dragon fruit plantation which is one of the best-part of the farm. What is a dragon fruit?

This is the poultry farm surrounded with well-grown guava placed in a sack of cement, which is also sold to some travelers who likes to have this variety of guava.

This is the citrus lemon, which is also planted and fattened with organic manure from the poultry.

As I go around the farm, I can't help but feel grateful for the chance to see such natural beauty. The air is crisp and clean, and everything is green, which is soothing to the eyes. This is a true hidden gem that you must include on your next itinerary.

The entrance fee is so reasonable, you only have to pay Php65.00 (1.17 USD) per adult, Php60.00 (1.08 USD) for students, provided an I.D. card is presented, and Php50.00 (.90 USD) for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and kids under 10 years old. If you are interested in bringing home some dragon fruit seedlings, it is only Php 120.00 (2.16 USD).
See? It is indeed a very affordable offer.

If you opt to visit the area by bus, you just have to ride a bus from Cebu City bound for Bogo and ask the driver to drop you off at William's Farm and Park. I am pretty sure most drivers are very familiar with the place. But if you traveled by car, Google Maps will surely guide you to the exact location of the farm.
