Pecados para Dos — Virus | Music & Rising Star Stats

After about five months without posting in this section, I’m back today with one of these music posts that I used to do fairly regularly for quite some time. The idea is still pretty much the same: to share a song I like, explain a little about how I came to discover it, and add some fun facts.

During this time, my Spotify playlist kept growing quite a bit, mainly because I kept finding new songs and rediscovering others I hadn't listened to in a long time. So after several months, I figured it was a good time to pick up this section again.

Pecados para Dos — Virus

My musical choice for this post is “Pecados para Dos” by Virus, a band I’ve known for many, many years—mainly because of my parents’ influence and all the Argentine rock that played in my house when I was a kid.

As I’ve mentioned several times before, much of my love for Argentine rock comes directly from my family. My mother, in particular, listened to many of the artists who defined the ’70s and ’80s in Argentina, and thanks to that, I grew up listening to bands like Serú Girán, Soda Stereo, Los Redondos, and Virus, as well as Charly García’s entire discography.

For a long time, I was mainly familiar with Virus’s most popular songs, but in recent weeks I’ve started listening to a lot more of their discography and have been discovering tracks that had previously gone completely unnoticed by me.

For a long time, I was mainly familiar with Virus’s most popular songs, but in recent weeks I’ve started listening to a lot more of their discography and have been discovering tracks that had previously gone completely unnoticed by me.

One such track was “Pecado para Dos.” I really liked the song from the very first few times I heard it, mainly because of that sound so characteristic of Virus—a blend of rock and synthesizers—and a style quite different from that of other Argentine bands of the same era.

“Pecado para Dos” is part of Locura, an album released in 1985 and one of Virus’s best-known records. It was a period when the band already had a much more defined sound and when songs like “Pronta Entrega,” “Una Luna de Miel en la Mano,” and “Sin Disfraz” also emerged.

Personally, I love that I can still keep discovering new songs in Argentine rock after so many years of listening to it. Virus is a band that’s always been a part of my life thanks to my parents’ influence, but only now am I starting to explore far beyond their best-known tracks.

Among the projects I’m currently working on is

, one of the most widely used platforms within my ecosystem. It’s a marketplace focused on NFTs from games and projects built on the Hive Engine, designed to make it easier to buy, sell, and search for assets across different collections.

Over time, I’ve added new features, filters, and improvements to make the platform more user-friendly and adapt it to the needs of each game. Currently, Hive NFTs supports Rising Star Game, Big Dog Bone, Cryptoshots, DemoniCore, and PirateSaga, though the plan is to continue expanding this list in the future.
