Beautiful straight gown with side pleating I made for my kid sister

Hello creative hiver, how are you all doing and how is our weekend I’m happy to be here this week to share this beautiful tutorial with you all .

I made this beautiful dress for my kid sister to attend a friend wedding I will be sharing with you all the cutting and sewing step of this gown.

Cutting step

It’s a straight gown with pleating by the side and off shoulder, I made use of 4yard of Kampala .

I firstly cut on the sket part , the length of the sket is 40”and the hip is 10” folded the waistline is 9” after cutting the front I place it on the material to cut the back with zipper allowance.

After cutting the sket part I cut the half length 16” the burst is 12” and the waistline is 9” I measure 4” from the center to get the breast cut and the under burst is 12”.

I place the front piece on the material to cut the back and i folded 2” for zipper allowance , then I cut out the lining for both the sket and the half length .

Sleeve cut

The sleeve is 12” length the 14” width because it has elastic both the up and the down part , after cutting the sleeve I took the material to my sewing machine and join and I iron it while sewing 。

The gown came out beautiful after joining it and my sister wore it and she gorgeous in the gown .
