Good day creative friends how are we all doing today I hope we are all enjoying our day . It a very busy week Christmas work is here I had to make this gown for one of my customers she want to wear for a burial so I had to pend the Christmas children gown I’m working on , it a very beautiful Ankara print she did not give me a specific style so I decided to combine the Ankara with satin and the end result came out beautiful .
I will love to show you the cutting and sewing step of this beautiful gown.
Cutting process
I folded the fabric into 4 then I measure 16” for the half length the 4” from the center to get the breast cut then the waistline is 9” folded with sewing allowance .
My customers always like her dress to full lining so I had to put full lining then after cutting the half length I proceeded by cutting the sket part .
I folded 42” for the sket length then the hip is 12” folded then the waistline is 9” after cutting all the bodice I cut the lining then the sleeve.
Sewing process
I firstly iron the breast pad then fixed the lining then I making a side pleating with satin material then it came out beautiful and unique.
Final look
