The snooty bitch

Once upon a time there was a dog of fine breed and elegant bearing. Her coat shone with golden glints and her eyes were captivating with their haughty gaze. Accustomed to the flattery of her owners, the dog became terribly conceited and vain.

One day, while walking in the park, a small stray dog approached her with a friendly air. What a nerve! The fine dog looked him up and down with disdain and barked rudely at him:

-How dare you address me, a highborn lady? Get out of my way, you flea-bitten beggar!’.

Embarrassed, the little stray dog walked away crestfallen. At that moment, an old woman saw him and tenderly offered him a piece of bread.

The smug dog, putting on airs and graces, went on her way, receiving only reproachful glances.

For true elegance and distinction lie not in physical appearance, but in kindness and humility of soul.

He who boasts of his outward privileges often lacks the most precious inner virtues.

A year later her owners had a bad time and abandoned her in the street and that taught him that everything is not forever.
