The antlers of the young stag

Once upon a time there was a young deer who lived in the forest. His antlers were big and beautiful, but he could not appreciate their beauty. He always compared himself with the other deer and felt inferior.

One day, while walking near a stream, he saw his reflection in the clear water. He stood still, gazing disdainfully at his image. ‘My antlers are not as big and branched as those of old Cornublanco,’ he thought despondently.

At that moment, a wise owl resting on the branch of a nearby tree intervened: ‘Young deer, your antlers are a gift of nature. Do not belittle them by comparing them with those of others. Learn to appreciate your own unique beauty’.

The owl's words echoed in the deer's heart. From that day on, he began to appreciate himself more. He no longer felt inferior, but proud to show off his magnificent antlers with confidence. For when you love yourself, you radiate a special beauty from within.
