Beyond The Threshold.

I was just sitting down in my room on that fateful day, I was lost in thought, thinking about my life, and at how to make more money. I was as well tired from the weeks work stress and all, but it's even more reason to crack my brain and think about more easier, smart but legit way to make some more money. I was already processing one or two when Kenny suddenly rushed in, Kenny happens to be my neighbor.

"Milli Milli," he said as he rushed in, panting like someone being chased. But I was too lost in thought to be scared.
"Milliiiiii!" He shouted...
"What is it now" I asked him, not looking surprised or eager.
"I found something," he said, moved closer to me and whispered in my ears, "a wormhole."
"And so, what's my own with a wormhole, do you want to start rearing worms now" I asked jokingly.
"Don't tell me you don't know what a wormhole is.." he asked looking surprised.
"I don't, but isn't it obvious. Worm, hole." I replied.
"Come on, that's not it. It's a place no one living has ever seen. It's a place that even houses all those animals we heard have once been but has now gone extinct." He said
"Tell me you're joking." I replied now looking very surprised and curious at the same time.
"We could go there, you know." He said.

"Go there..." I repeated. "Huhm, I'm still trying to survive here that I know, how do I know I will survive in an unknown place." I added.
He seems to not want to agree with me, he looks so excited and I'm sure he really wants to go there. I'm curious too, curiosity has always won on my side too. But this seems a little different. I can't help imagining the dinosaurs, birds, beasts and all those animals and all that has gone extinct. In-between my thought, something hit me and that made my heart skipped. What if I die there? What if I can't come back?....... And most more were the questions that raised through my mind in the space of a second.
I looked at Kenny, still sitting down beside me, eagerly waiting for me response. I know he's thinking I will give him a yes, he knows me so well. But this is a little hard for me. Even still, I wanted to just see it, to just go there and experience it.....
"What if i can't cope, what if we can't cope?" I asked, trying to make him have a rethink too.
"We will always adapt, that's who we are." He responded.

I looked at him and smiled, the way he said, "we will adapt" was funny. Is it that easy, did this guy even know what he's saying at all. Thinking about it, I know it will be both fun and dangerous, seeing the various things I've only heard and seen pictures of, but then again, what of when there's danger and I need to run for my life from these beasts that may see me as a potential threat or food for their belly.
Well, what would you have me say, this imagination of mine is already enough for an adventure. It made me happy and scared at the same time, what more do I need to see. Maybe next time, I will go there physically. But for now, the adventure via my imagination is enough.
