Un Rayo de Sol / A Ray of Sunshine

Un trozo de pan emperifollado,
salió de dónde estaba guardado,
llevaba un cojín en sus manos
y se marcho del lugar afanado,
porque aquí no se sentía magno.

Una gran pared blanca atravesó
hasta que al armario llegó,
en este se guardó
y en otro lado apareció,
un lugar donde no hay luz del sol.

A piece of bread all dressed up,
came out from where it was kept,
carrying a cushion in its hands,
and hurriedly left the place,
because it didn’t feel great here.

It made its way through a large white wall
until it reached the closet,
where it hid,
and appeared on the other side,
in a place where there is no sunlight.

Salió por la puerta de otro armario
en un hogar algo opaco,
se acomodó en la cama que había al lado
y se durmió junto al cojín que había llevado,
necesita descansar, estaba estresado.

Cuando amaneció, algo llegó,
es un rayo que el sol envío,
el pan de inmediato despertó
y con el brillo se encantó,
esto lo hizo sentir lleno de ilusión.

He stepped out through the door of another closet
in a somewhat dim home,
settled into the bed next to it,
and fell asleep next to the pillow he’d brought with him;
he needed to rest, he was stressed.

When dawn broke, something arrived,
a ray of light sent by the sun.
The loaf of bread woke up immediately
and was enchanted by the glow;
this filled him with hope.

Tomo aquel rayo anaranjado
y se lo llevó, dejando todo olvidado,
entro al armario
y volvió de dónde había emigrado
pero está vez con algo mágico.

El rayito de sol de los plátanos colgó
y el lugar cálido se sintió,
ya no buscará un lugar mejor
porque este, espectacular quedó,
con el brillo que el sol le regaló.

It took that orange ray
and carried it away, leaving everything behind,
went into the closet
and returned from where it had gone,
but this time with something magical.

The little ray of sunshine hung over the banana trees,
and the place felt warm;
it will no longer search for a better place
because this one turned out spectacular,
with the glow the sun gave it.
