COME WITH ME TO MY FIRST TRIP OF 2026: CEBU CITY

Hello everyone, today's blog content will be a little different from my previous blogs. Well this is actually a great welcome for the New Year 2026 for me. My first trip for this year 2026!! So enjoy reading my blog entitled " Come with Me to My First Trip of 2026: Cebu City".

Actually, this trip was not really for going around because I had an important matter to attend to in Cebu. But my father decided that we should go earlier than my schedule because he wanted me and my cousin to walk around the city since we rarely visit Cebu City. We were supposed to travel on Sunday morning, but my father later told me that we would leave on Saturday at 3:00 a.m. Because of this, I packed my clothes and other things in a hurry on Friday night. I ended up packing too much lolz😭😭

When my father woke me up at 3:00 a.m., it was raining heavily, so we were a bit delayed. But it was still okay because we were just waiting for the bus along the road near our house. I was wearing a mask because I usually feel nauseous or dizzy when I ride a bus.

When the bus passed by our waiting area, we got on right away. I was actually nervous about the ride because the bus we took was air-conditioned, and I was worried that I might throw up.
The bus was air-conditioned and very comfortable. It had an expensive feel to it. There was also a TV that showed movies during the whole ride to the city, and it had a digital clock where we could check the time.

The bus left a little after 4:00 a.m. because we had a stop at Hagnaya Port to wait for other passengers since the bus was not yet full.
We arrived in the city at around 8:00 a.m. The ride was fast because there was no traffic. After arriving, we checked in and then looked for a nearby place to eat breakfast near where we were staying.

After having our first meal of the day, we didn’t rest in our room at all😆 We went out right away!! Yes, I was really tired because I felt a bit dizzy after the long ride, but since we were already going around, the tiredness slowly went away (or maybe just a little😜)

We immediately did some errands, and not long after, when lunchtime was coming, my father took us to a Korean restaurant called “Barangay Seoul.” I think the restaurant was inside E-Mall (I kind of forgot).
I was so happy and excited to try the different menu items. The food costs 150 pesos, and you can choose one from each category: a main dish, side dish, vegetable side dish, and soup. So, you really get to choose one food from each choice. As someone who loves watching K-dramas and Korean mukbangs, I was also excited to try the food.

The food looked good, but since I am not really used to eating raw food, it was neither very good nor very bad for me. As a Filipino who is used to marinated and well-cooked food, it felt a bit different. At first, it tasted okay, but after a while, it started to feel strange.

It was still good for me overall. It wasn’t my first time trying Korean food, but some of the dishes were new to me. I wasn’t able to finish all the food, and I felt really sad about it,especially the price is kind of expensive but I couldn’t force myself to eat because it started to make me feel weird.
After a while, we decided to walk around the mall, and my father offered to buy us milk tea. I chose a regular size, which cost 99 pesos, and the flavor was black sugar milk tea. My cousin also bought one, but I forgot what flavor he chose.

After that, we ran some more errands, and I also went with someone to a thrift store inside Gaisano Central. They were having a huge sale, so of course we didn’t want to miss the chance 😂. I bought a lot of clothes, especially from an area where the clothes were 3 for 100 pesos, so I grabbed the opportunity. I think I bought six pieces of clothing in total and paid around 500+ pesos for everything.

And that’s all for Part 1 of my Cebu City blog. See you in Part 2, everyone! I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed walking around the malls and places in the city!!
