Laughter, the Best Medicine? - 馃懡ET studying Humans

I had a weird thought as I started writing this - therefore, the 馃懡tail was added to the title.
If aliens were to land on Earth and study human behaviour, I wonder what they would think when observing a group of people or an audience in fits of laughter.
I cannot speak Klingon馃懡 like the alien race in Star Trek. Those crazy guys from The Big Bang Theory did their best to master the language! The imaginary aliens doing this study seem to communicate telepathically, way more advanced than the Klingons.
Here is the English version of what I imagine their initial findings will be馃槈馃槄
- These Earthlings - I hope they know the name of our planet - have varying features and behaviour; strangely, none of them look alike.
- They seem to communicate with sounds coming from their 'mouths' - not sure what term they would use, but for ease of understanding, I will use our terms馃槈
- They put stuff into their 'mouths', causing it to twist and spasm, and it just disappears. Perhaps a primitive way of administering nutrients to their 'bodies'?
- Different sounds also come from their 'mouths' - it seems to be a way of communicating, some loud and some softly. When in a group, there is often a huge outburst of noise. This seems to be contagious, because most of the others start doing the same - 'mouths' wide open, letting out roaring sounds. Some throw their 'heads' back, and some have fluids pouring out of their 'eyes.'
- Others standing nearby seem to find this behaviour odd, shaking their 'heads'.
That observation, of course, is about laughter, which has been scientifically proven to have a positive effect on our health. We don't even need any evidence of this - we've all experienced the happy vibes it brings.
Laughter releases the happy hormones - endorphins. A good workout at the gym, a brisk walk, or any form of physical exercise does the same, but takes a little more effort.
Besides releasing endorphins, which by the way, is a hormone that also relieves pain, laughter gives the face, chest, and tummy muscles a good workout. I've often used the phrase 'I laughed till my tummy hurt!'. But it's a good kind of hurting, if you know what I mean.
Naturally, it's a great stress reliever as well! Less stress makes you feel more in control of your life, right?
Of course, the phrase 'laughter is the best medicine' cannot be taken literally, but it surely has a synergistic effect when combined with traditional treatment and medications for many ailments.
Nothing like a good belly laugh to lighten the load!
Happy Workers' Day tomorrow, and I hope that you have at least one fit of laughter, just don't do it when standing in a queue on your own, or you for sure will get odd looks from those around you, not just the aliens馃槄
