Christmas Morning

The day has just begun as I sit here reminiscing while nebulizing.
I've always loved Christmas, a time of togetherness with the special people in my life, good food, and happy vibes. The past few years weren't the same but this year my new home has special little touches; new beginnings in a home that speaks of the things I love.
Much still needs to be done, but time and budget play a big part.
Next time I will give you a little glimpse into my private space and how it is still evolving.
My lovely covered verandah is a place where I sit and enjoy my early morning coffee with the sun on my back. I have a corner unit with a little hedge, and am beginning to make friends with the neighbours. Lovely people who are opening up to this new woman in their midst!
Everyone has a story to tell. Some are living and loving the time of their lives while others are fighting the fight of their lives. But they're also making the best of every day despite the curve balls life has thrown them.
An old phrase my Mom sometimes used was Every home has its cross to bear!
I added little touches of Christmas cheer, nothing lavish, just a tiny sparkle.

I kept my little silver Christmas tree and the new angel sits happily below.

Another little Christmas tree next to my Russian Matryoshka dolls (they're not Babushka dolls as I always thought), the Swedish Dala Horse, which is a gift from Swedish guests in my old B&B, and a Camel from the Middle East, a gift from my brother of one of his many travels in faraway places.

My sister-in-law and I had a good chuckle with the bowlers having Christmas fun in the very hot sun. Obviously much jollification after the match, especially the old guy in his red tutu;)

My youngest son is here, and we've been catching up, I last saw him six months ago. A very special time of togetherness.
I wish all my friends who celebrate Christmas, a wonderfully special day. Enjoy each moment spent with your loved ones, the love and laughter as well as the delicious food.
Moments to add to your box that will one day be overflowing with lasting memories!
