A Brand-New Year: Hive PUD 1 Jan 2026

What a year 2025 has been! I sold my home of over fifty years, found the best adoptive parents for my darling Poe, because cats are not allowed in the complex where I purchased a lovely apartment. It feels "like a holiday resort" - my son's words. Best of all, it's a stone's throw away from my brother and sister-in-law's home!
Poe is in seventh heaven, I get regular updates, he's becoming a 'fat cat', and thinks he's the one in charge of his new home! Here he's sitting surrounded by Christmas presents, so spoilt! I could not be happier; I still get regular updates from the young couple who adopted him!

My health took a knock, but I'm sure it will soon settle - change of climate or whatever. One plus is that I'm more determined than ever to get fit again. I have made a small start with exercises and short walks, and I will increase it soon!

I'm getting used to my brother always buying weird and wonderful gadgets. This is a demonstration model of a hot air engine kit that converts thermal energy into mechanical energy. He's an electrical engineer and finds stuff like this interesting.

It was a year that brought some wonderful things, but also some that took the wind out of my sails. But I survived and learnt some hard lessons not to trust people implicitly. The ones with the biggest smiles often do that to use and abuse you and then discard you!
But, I am super thankful for an amazing family who know how to keep the wheels turning.

Although I hardly blogged in December due to the horrid bronchitis that's still lingering, I've managed to grow my account by at least a thousand HP to reach 35003 HP.
