I have such small arms that I imagined something like this from the beginning, fluffy and lifting the suit.

But I am missing the purple trim that is more difficult to locate in the front.

I didn't compromise on fringe or anything, but since I'll be using purple fabric instead, I've decided to also remove some black fringe and go buy turquoise fringe. That's what I'm going to do today and I hope to make great strides.

The reality is that what got really complicated and very unexpectedly was the pants. Everything was congratulations and happiness, in the murga they had already told me that I could count on them for anything, I showed them how it was going and they were all very pleased and encouraged me to move forward. But I noticed that some turquoise fabric edges were tearing.

La realidad es que lo que se me complicó de sobremanera y muy inesperadamente fue el pantalón. Todo era felicitaciones y alegría, en la murga ya me habían dicho que cualquier cosa contase con ellos, les mostré cómo iba y todos se mostraron muy conformes y me incentivaron a avanzar. Pero noté que unos bordes de tela turquesa se estaban rasgando.

Of course, satin is more similar to satin than acetate, although it is somewhat elastic, it tears very easily at the seams and does not support "weight" let's say, so all the parts where the pants fit a little, as the other fabric is elasticized, gave way and began to fray.

In the face of my sadness I didn't let myself be defeated, many thoughts crossed my mind "I'm doing it wrong" "I'm not good for this" "I'd better pay someone" "it will break at carnival" anyway, I fought with my inner demons to not believe any of those things and I started to work, first I unpicked all the turquoise (luckily it was only a detail and not the whole pant).

Did you know that February is only 8 Saturdays away? counting that one of them is December 23rd or another one December 30th, maybe many members will not go those days and we are still finalizing everything, the dance steps, songs and many like me, the costumes!

The purple fabric was very docile, luckily it is also acetate, so I placed the shiny side up and started the sewing, I'm doing it by hand to make it easier to do tests in my case, and if it looks good then I will do touch-ups and reinforcements with the machine.

La tela violeta fue muy dócil, por suerte es también acetato, así que coloqué el lado brillante hacia arriba y emprendí la costura, lo estoy haciendo a mano para que sea más sencillo hacer pruebas en mi caso, y si queda bien ya luego haré retoques y refuerzos con la máquina.

I was starting to write this post and I got even more discouraged, today I have a lot of activities to do and I thought I would not get to show you, so I decided to stay up late yesterday and finish the pants, this is how it turned out, with the tranquility that today I am in the same place as last Friday, I still have to start the waistband and it would almost be ready.

Estaba empezando a escribir este post y me desanimé aún más, hoy tengo muchas actividades que cumplir y pensé que no llegaría a mostrarles, así fue que decidí trasnochar ayer y finalizar el pantalón, así ha quedado, con la tranquilidad de que hoy me encuentro en el mismo lugar que el viernes pasado, me queda empezar la cintura y casi casi estaría listo.

Finally I noticed that it is a little short, although it lacks some cuffs that fit there, maybe I should also add an extension of fabric.

Por último noté que me queda un poco corto, que aunque le falte unos puños que ajusten allí, quizás también deba agregar una extensión de tela.

I hope soon to show you that everything has been resolved and advanced and find myself closer to the date and more ready. Also one of the girls has ordered me an amigurumi doll, I hope to also get to that for Santa Claus and be able to show it here as well.
