The first thing I did was to shop, for some items I needed as extras, but mainly the fabrics and bangs. I also bought ribbons and gloves. Everything that will be needed in February, but I got now at a good price, since increases are the order of the day.

Lo primero fue realizar compras, por algunos objetos que necesitaba como extra, pero principalmente las telas y flecos. También compré cintas y guantes. Todo lo que vaya a ser necesario en febrero, pero conseguí ahora a buen precio, ya que los aumentos están a la orden del día.

Y ya con la primera tela, la de color negro, comencé marcando el traje tomando de modelo un viejo pantalón y una vieja levita. Hice los cortes y en el caso de la levita, añadí entretela en medio.

Algunas cosas pude coser a máquina, y en ese momento pedí ayuda a mi madre, que es la experta, pues la overlock me da un poco de miedo, ya que al cortar, temo siempre hacer algo erróneamente y no poder corregirlo.

For the rest I basted, for example, the pants, I wanted to see if it would fit, how to put the bangs, and take the measurements to sew the strips one by one.

For the front part I preferred to make a nice seam but also by hand, this part will then be attached to the back (which is the big part that also has two tails) and as at that time I will also use the machine, I can choose to take this "risk" of sewing by hand.

The truth is that I faced many insecurities, mainly with the design, which is from the front for all the same, so I can't be out of tune and make it different or wrong. This part is the most specific. Then the pants are of free design and I can make them to my liking.

La verdad es que enfrenté muchas inseguridades, principalmente con el diseño, que es de frente para todos igual, entonces no puedo desentonar y hacerlo distinto o mal. Esta parte es la más específica. Luego el pantalón es de diseño libre y eso si lo puedo hacer a mi gusto.

At this point I feel that I have made progress, I have everything cut and half done, this week I will move forward with more detailed seams and bangs, and I hope to show you soon that everything has turned out great.

There is a special part that I want to tell you about, it is a sash with the colors of the Argentine flag. I bought a 12cm wide one and I will also put some that will fall. I decided to sew mine to the pants so I don't have to carry a separate garment and I will never forget it, this is also useful to raise the waist and that it is not short in any way. Important details of the murga is not to show the skin or at least the belly. Bodies are sacred and it just doesn't look pretty in terms of the group aesthetics of the show.

Hay una parte especial que quiero contarles, se trata de una faja con los colores de la bandera Argentina. Compré una de 12cm de ancho y también pondré algunas que caigan. Yo decidí coser la mía al pantalón así no tengo que cargar una prenda aparte y nunca la olvidaré, esto me sirve también para levantar la cintura y que no quede corto bajo ningún aspecto. Detalles importantes de la murga es que no se vea la piel o al menos la panza. Los cuerpos son sagrados y simplemente no queda bonito en cuanto a la estética grupal del espectáculo.

Fui realizando pruebas para ver si todo iba correcto, es decir, al menos colocar el traje sobre la espalda, sobre el frente y chequear que la altura, el tamaño, estuviera bien y quizás con un poco de sobra para poder hacer luego las costuras de seguridad.

I've been using this little dude to put my pins in. I've been taking them out of one place, and putting them in another for days and days. I should have bought more pins, but in the meantime it's super good for me to be making use of them and sewing, and then when I remove them to have them all here, in the little knitting octopus.

He estado usando a este amiguito para poner mis alfileres. Llevo días y días quitandolos de un sitio, y colocándolos en otro.
