Hello beautiful community, I hope you are having a lovely Monday. I have very recently come back to hang around here and as always, if it's not one needle that brings me closer, it's the other... I have missed this community very much, I must admit that not many people are from the needle world around me and that makes this space something very special to me😊

I hope with all my heart that you are well, I have gone through my challenges (work mainly) and currently I have decided not to worry so much about the future and return to one of my passions, which is dancing in the streets of the city, as I have told at other times, in this which is called murga and it is a street dance and with a unique style and history in my country.

Hola hermosa comunidad, espero estén teniendo un hermoso lunes. Hace muy poco he vuelto a dar vueltas por aquí y como siempre, si no es una aguja la que me acerca, es la otra... he extrañado muchísimo esta comunidad, debo admitir que no mucha gente es del mundo de las agujas a mi alrededor y eso convierte este espacio en algo muy especial para mi😊

Espero de todo corazón que se encuentren bien, yo he pasado por mis desafíos (laborales principalmente) y actualmente he decidido no preocuparme tanto por el futuro y volver a una de mis pasiones, que es bailar en las calles de la ciudad, como he contado en otros momentos, en esto que se llama murga y es un baile callejero y con un estilo e historia únicos en mi país.

Later I will tell you about my particular mission for this dance challenge (which takes a costume and I will have to do it on my own, so I hope I can count on your help in the future, haha) but basically it is an economic mission in which I propose to raise money for an already programmed purpose!

Now let's move on to what I want to show you today:

I set out to embroider appliques for the future outfit, they take quite some time and I can do them now, because sequins and beads I have plenty, these little shiny beads were object of use in almost all my projects and I have several, although they will never be enough! So, I'll figure out how to use my time on it and get everything ready while saving for my future costume.

Más adelante les contaré sobre mi misión particular para este desafío del baile (que lleva un traje y tendré que hacerlo por mi cuenta, asique espero contar con su ayuda en el futuro, haha) pero básicamente es una misión económica en la que me propongo juntar dinero con un fin ya programado!

Ahora pasemos a lo que les quiero mostrar hoy :

Me propuse bordar apliques para el futuro traje, llevan bastante tiempo y puedo hacerlos ahora, porque lentejuelas y mostacillas tengo por montones, estos pequeños abalorios brillantes fueron objeto de uso en casi todos mis proyectos y tengo varios, aunque nunca serán suficientes! Entonces, me ingeniaré a usar mi tiempo en ello y tener todo listo mientras ahorro para mi futuro traje


Los materiales que vamos a usar son:	The materials we are going to use are:
paño lency	lency cloth
lentejuelas	sequins
mostacillas	beads
hilo	thread
aguja	needle
dibujo	pattern
cinta	ribbon

We place the paper on the lency cloth, cut and tape. This is pure neatness, I have known people very sloppy at this point and with excellent final results, I think it's mainly preferences haha.

Colocamos el papel sobre el paño lency, recortamos y encintamos. Esto es pura prolijidad, he conocido gente muy desprolija en este punto y con excelentes resultados finales, creo que son gustos principalmente jaja

I prefer mine somewhat small/medium, although this year I will take on the challenge of embroidering something big, since I have never done it and it is usually the most visible and the most expensive. Today I will be making a small logo to put on what will be the front of my costume.

Yo prefiero los míos algo pequeños/medianos, aunque este año me lanzaré al desafío de bordar algo grande, ya que nunca lo hice y en general es lo que más se ve y lo más costoso. Hoy haré un pequeño logo para poner en lo que será el frente de mi traje.

And now I start, I thread the thread with white on my needle, and I start from the edges of my drawing, in this case I will make a border in white color, so it will serve me as a limit at the time of filling. My technique is based on joining two beads together at the same time and then I take up again the embroidery between them.

Y ya dando comienzo, enhebro el hilo con blanco en mi aguja, y comienzo desde los bordes de mi dibujo, en este caso haré un reborde al color rojo, en color blanco, así me servirá de límite a la hora de rellenar. Mi técnica se basa en juntar dos mostacillas a la vez y luego retomar el bordado entre medio de estas mismas.

I started to fill in before because I was very intrigued to know if it would look good, but the ideal is to do the whole outline first! So let's continue to fill in all the color space: sequin, mustard and go back over the same hole to determine the place and thus cover the surface.

He comenzado a rellenar antes porque tenía mucha intriga de saber si quedaría bien, pero lo ideal es hacer todo el contorno primero! Así vamos a continuar rellenando todo el espacio de color: lentejuela, mostacilla y vuelvo a pasar sobre el mismo agujero para determinar el lugar y así cubrir la superficie.

This is how it looks on the back, here you can see the changes of yarn, knot, and if there are any, color changes. I used all white, but I could change to red without any problem. The idea is that this is neither too heavy nor too fragile because it can get caught in the middle of the dance, and we don't want that.

Así ha quedado por detrás, aquí se ven los cambios de hilo, de nudo, y en caso de que existan, cambios de color. Yo utilicé todo blanco, pero podría cambiar a rojo sin ningún problema. La idea es que esto así como está no sea ni muy pesado ni quede frágil porque luego puede engancharse en pleno baile, y no queremos eso.

Now it's ready, I have cropped the excess edges so that it shows as little as possible. As I don't have a suit yet I can't show you where it will go, but I can tell you that the background will be black so the white border will do the effect I want and that is to highlight the suit logo, so it doesn't get lost between borders and the same color.

Ahora está listo, he recortado los bordes sobrantes para que se vea lo menos posible. Como aún no tengo traje no puedo mostrarles dónde irá, pero si contarles que el fondo será negro entonces el borde blanco hará el efecto que deseo y es resaltar el logo del traje, para que no se pierda entre bordes y el mismo color.
