Movie review - From Hell (2001)

Hello everyone
Today I'll be reviewing 2001 slasher film - From Hell - based on the graphic novel From Hell by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell
The movie is taking place in Victorian-era London 1888, we follow our main character Frederick Abberline, a lead investigator in murders of several prostitutes .- Yes, you guessed it, this movie is about Jack the Ripper but, It's about so much more.

The movie show the vulnerable side of humans, we can see that
through every character in the movie. Everyone has something they want and crave for, which can ultimately make us good,bad or in both ways happy
This we can see right at the start of the movie and I think it's smart how they incorporated the endings with the main characters cravings.
The movie has some great actors like Johnny Depp, Ian Holm, Heather Graham and Robbie Coltrane, and they gave out some incredible performances.

The overall story is not something you would expect, they gave us the real Jack the Ripper but, there are other things as well whichh makes sense.. but is bit confusing at first. As I said it's not something you would expect. - ofc I didn't read the book 🙄
I also like how the title is based on an actual letter -From Hell- writen by alleged Jack the Ripper
I overall like the movie. I think It was well executed,interesting and ofc young Johnny Depp was here for the help xD but, no really haha a great movie 10 / 10 ⭐
