Hello, how are you? The weather this week is super cold, which I love, because in a few months this coldness is gonna turn into super hot weather, which I really don’t like. I hope this cold weather did happen last December, which is the one I expected, but hey, I still have weeks or months to enjoy this, so.

We pretty much go out for the whole day today, which is so tiring and happy at the same time, so today I decided to do oil pastel drawing, which I rarely do now. So I was searching what I am going to draw today, and I saw this cute duck with a sunflower on its head, and I found it so cute and decided this is the one!

Materials I Used:

  • Oil Pastels
  • 200gsm Paper
  • Reference
  • Scraping Tool

Craft Time!

I just go with the flow with the sketch, and I guess I got it at the first try! Yehet! I use a blue shade of oil pastel, and I think I did the good decision to use it.

I pretty much do lighter and darker shades of yellows and reds at the same time, and some grays in those feathers.

Fill in those empty spaces with different kinds of shades of colors again, and I seriously just go with the flow with the entire process, which I am surprised I like :D

To make the drawing more dimentional I added darker shades to the part where the shadows are.

Just did the process I did earlier, back and forth, the part I am focusing on is the darkest.

I dont over don't overdo the layer of oil pastel this time, which I am so satisfied about.

To add texture and highlights at the same time, I use this scraping tool I have and lift off those oil pastels.

Finish! I hope you like it :D
