Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 107, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our third topic for this week which is “WHAT’S YOUR SCREEN TIME?”
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “CAN A ROBOT DO IT BETTER?”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their jobs and the effects that the modern age of technology was having on them. We got to see the different ways that AI and robots were making chores easier and at the same time, costing people their livelihoods.
We got to see how people were preparing for such a takeover, we also got to know jobs and skills that were bound to survive the takeover, and also how people planned to cope should such a thing happen. It was an enlightening topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w107e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.

This author told us about the effect that artificial intelligence and robots were bound to have on individuals. Yeah, given time, it’s going to take over the world and many jobs will be lost. The consequence of this will be felt by many and it may not be all positive. Sadly, even his job as a pharmacist is not safe.

For this author, so far, AI has not been able to establish itself as a threat. While it has proven handy and has been used by a lot of people in the field of science, the likelihood that it’s going to take their jobs is on the low side for now.

This author is a teacher, and he believes that robots and AI will never be able to replace him. Being a teacher goes beyond imparting knowledge, it also has to do with connecting with the students, so they can see just what you want them to see. That’s something AI and robots will never get.
