The Bolivian Embassy in Japan has reported through its social networks that the emblematic Salar de Uyuni will be the main setting for the romantic film "April, come she will", one of the most anticipated productions in the Asian country.
The feature film, starring actors Takeru Sato and Nana Mori, is scheduled for release in March.

The Salar de Uyuni, recognized for its imposing beauty and vast expanse of white salt, has served as inspiration for this film work, based on the novel by Genki Kawamura.

Takeru Sato expressed his admiration for the Salar de Uyuni in a video shared on social networks, stating that it was a place he longed for and that it is now among his favorites. "This is the place I want to return to one day," he mentioned with emotion.

The plot of "April, Come She Will" centers on Shun Fujishiro, played by Takeru Sato, a psychiatrist employed at a university hospital in Tokyo, engaged to Yayoi Sakamoto, played by Masami Nagasawa.

However, everything changes when Shun receives a letter from his first love, Haru Iyoda, personified by Nana Mori, starting an intriguing story.

With the Salar de Uyuni as a backdrop, "April, come she will" promises to captivate audiences with its romantic narrative and stunning landscapes.

The film joins the list of international productions that highlight the beauty and attractiveness that Bolivia offers to the world of cinema, among them "Star WarsVIII: The Last Jedi", and the third season of the narco novel "La Reina del Sur"
