Temples in Thailand are just amazing and out of this world to visit I actually never got to see many Temples while we were in Thailand as we were mainly touring Koh Samui, but the ones we saw there gave us a well enough knowledge of the extreme effort and hours that go into these Temples and not one is the same each province of Thailand has there own architectural design and meanings.
The Wat Plai Laem in Samui was a prime example of how beautiful, magical and spiritual these temples can look. Never had we seen such work of art. The Wat Plai Laem Buddhist temple is a mixture of elements combined from Chinese and Thai traditional beliefs. The Thai artist artist who designed this spectacular temple was Mr Jarit Phumdonming.
That beautiful white statue with those amazing, 18 striking arms is the image of Guanyin, know as the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. Here you will find many Thai Buddhist coming to give there prays daily praying for good health, better luck and fortune in there lives.
Walking around this amazing temple you will see many different statues and murals around the temple, they are all based on representing many centuries of old ancient beliefs.
What we mainly loved about this temple it was surrounded by a beautiful lake teeming with fish and beautiful nature, you could feel the tranquility walking around this temple. After walking out of this temple I felt, that I had been purified and lifted by all these spiritual Goddess.
