I am not sure, but I believe this season is scheduled for 16 days, and today is the 7th day, which means we have 9 days remaining. Many players have adapted to the newer system, which is far superior to our previous one. Despite the fact that Splinterlands INC has not completed the rollout of the new system. We have heard that the current reward system will be scrapped, and GLINTS will replace it entirely. I believe I will look into this further in another post.

However, I believe that the incoming system on April 2 should have been rolled out alongside the system that went live two seasons ago. I am not sure about the specifics of the changes that will take place on the 2nd of next month, but let me first discuss my progress this season.

So I am up 37 Gold chests with 9 days left. So, if I earn 3 chests per day for the next 9 days, I could end up with more than 60 gold chests for the season.

This is a hypothetical; I started the season well and my output has been decent, but I can not predict what the remaining days of the season will be like, but realistically, I am confident of hitting at least 55 gold chests even if I put in a poor performance for the remaining 9 days. However, if I continue with this trend, I may end up with 60 to 62 Gold chests, which would be fantastic, but 50 to 55 is more realistic for me.

Started in Gold 3, Now In Gold One

I started in Gold 3 and am now comfortably playing in Gold 1 after just seven days. In fact, I was close to reaching diamond 3, but I lost out and was unable to do so. I do not even have a deck to comfortably play Gold One, but I was lucky today and had a long winning streak. In most cases, I correctly predicted the opposition's lineup and prepared to counter the majority of their strategies. These are made possible by the collections of soulbound cards and summoners I have amassed over the last 8 to 10 months.

Since I started playing in the Gold league, I have noticed a significant increase in my SPS earned per game. Previously, this was not possible, but the new system automatically helps you climb, allowing potentially deadly players to move up the leagues, leaving you with players who are evenly matched with you.

1.3 SPS for Two Wins

So, when you play with focus, you increase your chances of earning higher SPS per win. For example, today I earned the most SPS I have ever had while playing in Wild, approximately 0.77 DEC. My next win was also about 0.6, giving me over 1.3 SPS for winning two games, which is not much, but it is a significant improvement from when I established myself as a mainstay in the silver league.

If I had staked more SPS, this could have been even higher. (I currently have 8.6K SPS and 16K delegated to me) It is a fantastic system change that is allowed me to establish myself and compete in the Gold League.

I have been earning Gold daily focus chests for a long time, and my SPS haul has grown. I do not get as many soulbound cards as I used to, but I am getting more SPS, which is good. For example, look at the gold chests I opened below; I highlighted the SPS I received, which was nice. Although this is not always the case, half of the time the SPS output is better in whole numbers rather than decimals. This may change completely under the new system.

SPS might be harder to earn in the new system

This simply means that one will not be able to earn SPS in hauls again, but will most likely be able to shop for SPS using GLINTS. One advantage of this change, in my opinion, is that SPS will become more valuable because players can only earn them as rewards for ranked battles and participation in brawls, not as chests. For someone like me, it may cause a delay in my SPS accumulation because I will now have to rely on GLINT to purchase SPS or other rewards.

This is purely hypothetical, and it may differ from the way I analyzed it. However, we were skeptical of the current change, but it turned out really well, so we would have to wait for this one as well. Splinterlands INC is far from finished with the changes they intend to implement, but we have already seen a lot of them in Q1 2024. I believe that there will be other changes before Q4 2024, such as reducing the number of cards in circulation.

For the time being, the current system is cool, and there is a theory that it is more rewarding in the Gold league; I am not sure if this is true, but I will have to play in the Diamond league to confirm it. (This is currently out of reach). I will make another post near the end of the season to see if I can finish with 60 Gold chests.
