DIY : How I Fixed My Jean trousers Using a Thread and Needle.

Greetings
Its been a while i’ve blogged in this community. For the past week i have been making preparations towards my end of trimester examination, so i have mostly been very busy. Hopefully by next week i will be done writing the examination and i should resume blogging regularly. Today i wanted to share with you a tutorial on how i fixed my trouser’s.
About last week, i bought a pair of trousers i dont know how you call them over there but here in Ghana we refer to them as “Crazy trousers”. With the type I bought it was the conceld type. Unfortunately for me i didn’t buy the right ones. After just a few days of usage, some part of it started to fall off. So I decided to fix it myself and here is a tutorial on how i went about it.
Step 1
For the first step, i turned the whole trouser inside out. And placed the piece of trouser on the hole directly i made sure it covered the entrie hole.
Step 2
After placing the piece on the hole, turn inside out again. This time the outer part should be outside. Now use your threaded needle and begin sowing. It is advisable you get a thread that best fits the cloth you want to reapir. Unfortunately for me i got a brown thread so i decided to use it.
Step 3
Depending on your sowing technique, i preferably i use the back and forth method. To sow this helps keep a firm and solid grip of the material.
Step 4
Now you just have to repeate the process untill you have sew round the whole hole. When you are done, you dont tie the thread at the surface. But rather inside, by passing the thread in and out (repeat a couple of times) and tie it off.
Step 5
Now its time to fix the right side, when i was fixing the other side i run into some complications so i thought it would be easy to use pins to hold the material in place whiles i sew it.
Step 6
The same procedure i used to sew the left side. I will be using the back and forth sewing technique. This time around it was far more simpler than the first one.
Step 7
Within a few minutes, i sew round the hole and removed the pins. The pins really did help because they kept the material in place i didn’t have to constantly be checking and placing it.
