Sunday ! It happens every week ! 馃槃 ... and here I am again.
I stepped out on the porch to take a photo of this Sunny Sunday Morning. Stunning ! That's what it is! It was 10:13 AM when I started typing this post. It is 57 degrees out. The Morning sun shines directly on my front porch and there is barely any breeze at the moment, so it was toasty and warm on the porch. I don't have fall windsocks for when the summer ones come down. I do have red/white & blue ones though and just as I'm typing this, I am wondering if I should put them out next week with our elections coming up. Maybe I will, for just a few weeks. I'll make up my mind about that later.

I took this photo as I was coming in one of my drives a couple of days ago. There is a big tree to the right of the drive, out of site of this photo, that is slowly turning and dropping it's leaves. I loved the way they looked scattered across the still-green grass and the way the sunlight was hitting the now dark orange leaves on the dogwood between the drive and the house. I'm trying to enjoy all the bright sunny days that are left before the doom and gloom gray of winter sets in.

I also took this photo from my car window a little further down the drive. A sunny shot through the giant cypress trees. I love sun flare photos.

Update on yesterday, the day I washed my Christmas tree 馃槀 It took a long time and I got tired of it before I got done, but it worked beautifully. Now the limbs of one of my vintage aluminum trees is as shiny as new! It was exactly what I was hoping for, so I am well pleased.

I used this cleaner for the first time ever. Some folks on an aluminum tree page on FB had said they had used some version of it to clean their trees and were happy with the way it worked. It is sold by Dollar General. When I went to buy some, I found that the LA Awesome Cleaner brand had many types of cleaners and since I didn't know that, I had not paid attention to which version they had used, so I went with the "multi surface" one and fortunately, it did a fine job.
Although it had a strong smell, Meadow Fresh Scent 馃槃... ha ....it was not unpleasant when it calmed down. I did the cleaning at my kitchen sink after clearing all counters, putting down old towels because I knew everything was going to get wet and putting some thick styrofoam pieces out to stick the limbs in while they dried. I had taken an old ice pick and poked holes in it so I wouldn't have to abuse the limbs by forcing them in. I liberally sprayed up and down 10 to 12 limbs at a time, laid them on a towel, let them soak there for 15 or 20 minutes, then came back and rinsed each one down really good, shook it off and placed it upright in a hole in the styro. Then I sprayed down the next set of limbs to soak. The process actually went very well, but just took forever. I had opened my back door and put a fan facing out the screen and had opened another window in the living room to help vent while I was working. I also wore a mask during the times I was spraying the cleaner to help keep some of it out of my lungs. It never hurts to take a few precautions. As you can see, I nearly used the entire bottle.

What I found really amazing about the cleaner was that it somehow didn't dry out the skin on my hands. I had bought rubber gloves, but they turned out to be too big and I couldn't manuever things well with them on, so I mostly handled the whole process with my bare hands. Normally anytime my hands are in that much water, afterwards they need a good dose of lotion, but somehow, later after I was done, I noticed the skin on my hands and forearms felt very soft and there was no "prune" skin. What ?? Even this morning, my hands are nice and soft and the skin is not dry. That may sound funny, but it is a thing.... an interesting thing.
So I leave like I came in, with a sunny photo from my porch.

Last night I put together an egg casserole, bacon, sausage, french bread slices, eggs, half & half, dry mustard and salt. (the bacon and sausage I cooked before putting it together) IT is one of those that you put in the frig over night and cook the next day, so I will go to the kitchen soon and put it in the oven to take for lunch at Moms. Yum Yum !
Hope you are have or have had a nice Sunday, wherever you are and however you chose/choose to spend it.
Love you !
