The interesting thing about my day

Hello everyone, I trust you’re doing great. Today, I’d love to share with you how I spent my day. My day today was really interesting. Early in the morning, around 4 o’clock, I woke up because the temperature inside my room was too hot. I thought maybe I had left one of the cookers on, so I went straight to check. After checking I figured out that everything was in order. I then noticed that the temperature outside was cool while the one inside my room was hot. I realized I needed to balance the temperature, especially since there had been light all through the night.

After that I managed to go back to bed and get some more sleep. It was difficult at first to sleep again but after some time when I relaxed my mind and stopped pondering on the thoughts that were coming into my head, before I knew it, I slept off. I had some dreams, which I’m sure were all good.
Then I woke up around 6 a.m. and went straight to the kitchen. I warmed my soup and prepared some rice which I was going to eat this morning before going to work. When I was done with all that, I headed straight to the bedroom. In the bedroom, I took my bath and then came out.

Before I got dressed, I decided to have a taste of my food. In most cases, I don’t usually taste my food while cooking. Not because I do that intentionally, but because of my level of confidence when it comes to cooking. I have already mentally taken note of the amount of salt, ingredients, and spices I use to make my food taste good, delicious, and okay for consumption.
So I ate my food that morning, and really, I wasn’t disappointed because It was really good. After eating, I dressed up. When I was done dressing up, I polished my shoes, put them on, and went to the office.

When I got to the office this morning, I happened to be the second person to arrive. Before I got there, it was already eight o’clock in the morning. I was really surprised because at that time, normally everywhere should have been filled with staff and workers. But when I arrived, I realized I was just the second person in the office. After writing my name in the attendance book, I spent about 30 minutes to one hour before more people started coming to work.

It was so surprising to me because it felt like even though I came late, I actually came early. That was the impression it gave me. If not for checking the time, if there were no watches or anything to keep time I would have thought I came too early. Soon after that, the office became filled with staff members and my colleagues.
Later on, I spent some quality time checking out some documentaries online. When my colleagues were complete, they came together in my office. Everyone had their own chair, and we started talking.

From our discussion, we channeled the energy into playing a little card game. There wasn’t really much work done in the office today it was all fun, trust me. We had a lot of fun. It was really good seeing everyone again especially after yesterday when nobody came to the office. It felt good to be together once more, to have fun, discuss, talk about life, and talk about everything. It really felt like a holiday.

After that, we decided to prepare for one of our colleagues who was celebrating her birthday today. We waited for her, and she came around 10 in the morning. That was quite late but we understood why. When she arrived, she came along with many things including drinks, cake, and more. It turned out to be a massive birthday celebration in the office.
I even took some good pictures, which she will be posting online to show what really happened in the office during her birthday celebration. I made sure to take quality pictures from good angles that was my contribution for her today. We ate cake and had some good drinks. It was really a beautiful day.

We all ended up chatting more and playing more games until around 3 p.m. By then, everyone was exhausted and we decided to head back home to get some rest.
