On this weekend's topics, I shall be writing on the last topic; three meaningful words..., where there are varied options of words. I shall write on this three interrelated words - ***Integrity, truth, and Friendship. Ride with me as I take them one after the other and explain their meanings.

INTEGRITY

Integrity is a virtue that makes an individual honest and fair in dealing with self and others in a community. Integrity means adhering firmly to code of conduct, rules and regulations amongst people. It means standing by and going with what is right and morally acceptable at all cost. Other words used to describe integrity are morality, decency, virtuous, righteous, honesty, etc.

When I was in the university, I made a decision never to be a part of examination malpractice come what may. I was able to standby my decision all through my four years in school. Even at the sight of failure, I stood my ground. Two language course were introduced just in my first year. It was a language I couldn't speak but it was a general course all the students were supposed to take. My course mates who understood and spoke the language, obviously saw that I needed help with it offered to assist me in the exam hall but I knew it was against my principle, so I declined their help. Eventually, I passed one of the courses but wrote one for the third time in my final year before I passed. I could have had an extra year because of that single course if I failed in my final year.

TRUTH

The word truth can be looked at in different angles. It can mean an idea or statement that is publicly accepted. It can also be referred to as the right thing that was done, said or was done which was told another person or group of persons. Truth can be closely likened to sincerity. It is the quality fo being sincere with others. Words used interchangeably with truth are sooth, facticity and factuality.
My family and friends always count on me to tell the truth in all situations because of the integrity I hold. One thing I have decided to do is to always tell the truth. It's difficult for anyone to tell me to cover up because in covering up, I will say the truth. Even though truth can be bitter, it does makes one have a free conscience.

My elder brother who altered his date of birth because of age restrictions in government jobs recently went for an interview. The interviewer noticed he looked older than his age on paper and asked him. My brother opened up and told the truth and the interviewer discharged him, saying if he could lie about his age, they cannot entrust him with the company work.

FRIENDSHIP

I have a large base of friends because I love making friends. I maintaine friendship with quite a number of people. Some I have met in real life, and some I have only met on social media and maintain friendship with. I make friends with people in and out of my country. I'm new on Hive but I'm looking forward to making good friends as long I continue been active.

In conclusion, the relationship between integrity, truth and friendship is this; A person who has integrity wil always tell the truth and this two are major ingredients of good friendship.

This is my entry on this weekend's topics shared by @galenkp, thank you!!!
