starbits vs starpro, the two ends of the risingstar spectrum.

Hello and welcome to all the readers.

Today we talk about risingstar and the tokens associated with it.

Risingstar is a mission based game, where you run missions to earn token. The game is completely free and without any startup cost.
Starbits is the main token you earn, based on the missions, fans, skills and the level in the game.

Risingstar game has four zones, you start home as a busker and move up the level as you start gaining experience (XP), fans and skills.
You can earn temporary fans while doing missions, which improves earning.

As you move up the level, you have to deal with the Ego. The lower the Ego the better the earning capacity.

Cards (NFT) help you to improve your fans, skills and luck in the game. You can buy card packs using the starbits you earn. Cards can be bought using other tokens or fiat currency.

Risingstar is not interactive game, so you can carry on doing other tasks while the mission is running. This makes it attractive to users with limited time.
Based on your energy levels in the game, you can do lots of missions in a day and earn a good amount of starbits.

Starpro was introduced in risingstar game after a year. Music promoter was introduced in the game, as a means to earn starpro and burn starbits.
To play music promoter, you need to bid for the missions using starbits. The highest bidder owns the mission, till he is outbided or he runs out of starbits to bid.
At the end of the day, all the starbits are burnt and starpro is distributed to individual players based on the starbits spent and missions done.

Risingstar also have special missions like Promote Fan club that requires starpro to play.
Festive World Tour also requires starpro to play.

Risingstar game also have a custom shop, where you can play a mission and earn parts. Each mission costs 1000 starbits.
Once you have collected the required 4 parts, you can craft a custom NFT.
I do atleast 20 to 25 custom shop missions in a month. Though finding gold parts is tricky, it's worth spending the starbits.
Till date, i have 16 custom NFT. The only drawback is ending up with lots of duplicate parts. Future improvements will cater to the unused parts, which is good news.

Raves is the recent addition to the game where you can send cards and earn a share if your team wins.
To play raves you need FA cards which can be bought from the risingstar marketplace using starbits/starpro

Let's talk more about the token,

As mentioned before, starbits is the main token you can earn in the game by doing missions. Whereas to earn starpro, you need starbits to spend in music promoter.

The only other way to earn starpro is by swapping starbits in diesel pools or buying from the hive-engine markets.
But there is one exception, you can sell your existing cards for starpro.

Also the tokenomics of starbits and starpro differ. Starbits is unlimited, whereas starpro has a limited/max supply limit.

This is one of the reasons, why starbits is losing it's value. The price keeps falling as more people try to sell it.
Whereas, starpro price is healthy as there is less selling pressure.

The gap between the two tokens, does make it tricker and costlier for small players to swap.

I do understand, that there is no simple solution to bridge the gap.

Conclusion:

I would say, starbits and starpro are two ends of the spectrum having a different purpose in the game.
As starbits works as an earning token, whereas starpro more as spending/stabilizing token in the game.
