Behind the Scenes of Our Tinikling Performance

This was my first time surprising a friend of mine. I get too excited and nervous at the same time since I've been surprised by my friends way back I was grade 11 and that was the happiest birthday of mine. And now, this is was time to surprise one my close friends. We just planned this a night before the day we took a video for our performance task.

We agreed we should came there at 8:00 so I prepared the things needed for the surprise. I bring a bouquet made by my sister, and it was placed on our old house. I only have a fewer minutes to prepare since we have to wait for the bus plus the travel time going to bogo. I took a picture of it first, and I sprayed my perfume on it so it would smell good.

We were heading to our meet up place , and I'm with my cousins. He doesn't have money so I insist I will be the one who will pay for his travel. Since we needed someone to hold the bamboo for our tinikling. I didn't have a choice but to take him to the bogo with free bus fare.

We planned to meet up at this alley so we will be coming together to my friend's house. The fare cost 15 peso each and so I paid 45 peso, i treat my friend for her fare since we were the one's who's insisting this favor to her.

Then, as my friend told us that we were not allowed to record our video in her auntie's rest house. So we decided to look for another space that we can took a video. And this was the only spacious space we saw nearby at my friend's house. We started cleaning the dry leaves and the rocks.

I told my friend if she could took a picture of me, since I feel to good with my outfit. This pants of mine was quite expensive for me, so I wore it a lot and I like how it fits me. The only problem was its length, it's too long for me since I'm only 4'11. But the solution for this, I tie it from the back so it would look nice and fit.

My friend came to us and planned that we should took a video in their house. We were so happy, hearing that news. She was fresh from the bathroom when she meet with us on where we stayed. She was worried to us, since we were not from here. Even though she had an errands, she prioritize our safety and be with us the whole time.

My partner and I was having a hard time doing our final performance for our semi final. The thing is she doesn't practice before we came here and I teach her and it took a lot of hours. We didn't get the right beat and that made us tired and conscious but I didn't gave up easily. I practice and practice until we get the right steps perfectly.

We transfer to another place, since the auntie of my friend suggested that we could took a video from their rest house. We then grab the bamboos and headed the place where the rest house is. It was spacious and perfect for our performance.

My friend gave us this kind of fruit, and it looks familiar to me but I didn't know its name. I was asking if this was edible and she said it is safe to eat. I was curious of how it taste like so took a little bite from it and it just okay.

This was our outfit for our tinikling, our teacher said to us we should wear an outfit so that it would look formal. We didn't have money to rent some tinikling fits, so we look for a Filipiñiana kind of thing outfit that we used way back in our high school years. Then we end up with this, this outfit of my friend this was their costume for their folkdance before. And the customs of mine was a wedding fits of mine and the bottom of mine if from my friend.
