BSBA Executive Assembly: A Memorable Day
0 comments
Last month, I experienced the best moments in my life this year so far...
It was not held during my birthday or at family gatherings. If you thought that it was also because I was able to get the triple top one in Marketing Management in SJ campus or getting my first ever 14.1k gross revenue in TikTok, it is not that close. Those moments are just a piece of my best memories, but being a part of this event is such an enjoyable moment to cherish.
Pre-preparation
A few months ago, I wasn't able to get enough sleep because I slept earlier than usual. My body clock failed to adjust, and although I only had two hours of sleep, I still managed to wake up at three in the morning to prepare my food and take a bath. I thought my mother would not wake me early, so I was only the one who organized everything.
Time to travel
Since the jeepney would also pass our city, my other classmates and I decided to wait instead of going from another town. The faculty members decided to rent a jeep to bring us from the main campus to assure our safety and to lessen our expenses as well. As expected, some of them were Filipino time, but the most important thing was that we didn't get left behind.
Welcome to AU Main Campus!
After waiting for more than two hours, we're finally on the Main Campus. It is unarguably bigger than San Jose Campus since I heard that the landowners don't want to sell their lands to expand their territory. That's why I'm having second thoughts if I should transfer to Main. The tuition is still the same, but I also need to consider my transportation fees and where I would stay.
Product Exhibit
Since there was a time limit for preparing our booth, I initiated the preparation, and it was a good thing that our groupmates worked cooperatively. I experienced multiple challenges as a leader, but I'm glad that we were able to prepare our booth creatively. The picture below is the behind-the-scenes of our booth preparation.
Program (Morning Session)
Finally, the program has started. We just watched the heartfelt entrepreneurial success of the guest speaker, the student's intermission, and the officer's oath-taking. As a form of gratitude, the CMA faculty also provided free sandwiches and Minute Maid and also prepared a game, which I missed because of shyness. Then, we also witnessed the awarding of the Dean Listers from the previous second year last academic year. I'm jealous since we didn't get the chance to walk in front since it's only meant from the Top 10. I was doomed! Some other things have been discussed, but we'll now go forward to lunch.
Lunch Time
Here is the food that I ate for this lunch. My other classmates thought that we should go to Jollibee, but it was unfortunately fully accommodated. That's why we moved to McDonalds to have lunch. I brought a canned tuna with rice, and I only bought Coke Float since I thought that they would get their food. I feel awful, but at least I still saved pretty good cash.
Product Exhibit Defense
When I heard the announcement that we should be ready before 12:50 in the afternoon, I immediately went back to the campus. I thought that my other groupmate would join me to present, and a partner would alternate the presentation of the product. I'm not prepared, but I'm knowledgeable about our innovation. Overall, we still did a great job, although the judging is such a cooking show.
Personal Collection
During their sales pitch, I immediately went outside of the school to sign our clearance in Personal Collection. I did not know that area, so I asked the driver if he could guide me. Luckily, the drivers and other concerned passengers assisted me and got to sign it successfully. It is proof that I don't have any outstanding balances from their products.
Program (Afternoon Session)
This would be a lengthy storytelling, but I want to make it short. After I signed my clearance, I immediately went to the event where the graduating students were taking their Metamorphosis and the BSBA Chick and Hunks. If you would ask if we won the Product Exhibit, it's not, unfortunately. I feel like it was such a cooking show. Regarding the Chick and Hunks, we were very supportive of our candidates, although they failed to enter the Finals. After the announcement of the winners, our professors prepared a special intermission number, which brought a lot of laughs to the whole venue. Those instructors were known for being strict, but they still attempted to get us a dance number by throwing their dignity.
Program (Evening Session)
This is the moment when the students from the main are slowly depleting. We still want to join the BSBA Night, but we can't do it since the awarding for the Chick and Hunks has already finished late. My friends found the exit area suitable for picture taking, so they took pictures while waiting for my friend's parents to fetch us.
Time to go out
I think this is the most memorable moment in my life. This is the time when I tried to ride the roofless ride at night time with my friends. Before going on a two-hour trip, my friends and I decided to go first to Waltermart San Jose to eat Jollibee during the ride. That moment was precious since we managed to talk about random things without using our phones since we were all low battery. I wish it would happen again, but we want to be complete.
Conclusion
After arriving at the waiting shed, my mother fetched me, although I had already contacted my cousin that I would join him. That day was overwhelming to the point that I immediately rested from exhaustion. That's it. I called it a memorable day.
