The Beauty of Iloilo City

Good day everyone, it's me again your cutetastic friend. Today I want to share my first trip or travel outside Negros Occidental. I was so excited when I heard that we will have a 1day trip to Iloilo. I am excited about my first experience riding a fast ferry, it takes an hour before we reach the Iloilo pier.

 

From the pier we immediately went to my cousin's friend's house who lives in Iloilo. While we were traveling to the center of Iloilo, I saw tall buildings and establishments. I am very shocked and amazed by the new places I went, Iloilo and Bacolod are very different places. Iloilo is way more modernized and upgraded when we talk about the economy and transportation. Iloilo's road is wider and has many overdos, these are the reason why the flow of traffic in this place is fluent. When we got into their place they welcomed us with nice hospitality, we immediately felt comfortable. Their treatment towards us made my eyes teary. Filipinos hospitality is an outstanding mannered that we are so proud.

They prepared us some famous local delicacies that Iloilo are known for, they cooked KBL( Kadyos, Baboy, Langka) a stew composed of pork with pigeon pea or red gram and unriped jackfruit.

After our lunch we decided to go to Iloilo city hall. Their city was huge and looks very different on our city hall, although they both have same color but area is much bigger and well maintain. Maybe I felt it because this is my first travel outside Negros, I didn't mean that Bacolod is not good it just I felt overwhelmed on what I saw in Iloilo.

 

After that we went to the Plaza libertad Zamora street, we went there to take pictures. While we are roaming around the place we notice that their plaza was maintain clean and the aura it give was so relaxing. We stay here for a while then move to another place as our tour guide which is my cousin friend's( named Elsa )suggests to went on KTown.

 

We went immediately to our penultimate place to go which is ktown. When we arrived at the place we were greeted by the lanterns on the street.The beautiful and different designs of lanterns attract everyone who sees it. This place was aesthetic and nice. We walk around and enjoy the place. As the time goes by more people are approaching and the place are getting crowded. We had a long walk and very happy about the place, while walking my cousin heard a voice inside my stomach and she laugh at me. They as me if I am hungry and I said yes so Elsa suggests to try their local delicacies which is La Paz batchoy. Batchoy is stew with noodles, pork liver, pork with chicharon.

 
After we eat our last destination is sm Iloilo. Their Sm is much bigger and wider, they also decorate it well to attract more people. The lights on their Sm will charm everyone especially during night, I wish our sm does this also. After we buy on sm we leave and went straight to the pier. While traveling we pass the Jaro Plaza and we realized that the best time to went their was evening. We just pass it but we make sure to put it on our list to go there when we go back to Iloilo City.
