My Simple Foam and Glitter Art Project

This is a DIY artwork I made using foam, carton, glitter, and picture cutouts. I enjoy working with simple materials, and this project gave me the chance to turn ordinary things into something colorful and calm. The piece is circular in shape, and everything on it comes together as one whole work.
I was inspired by nature because I like how natural scenes feel peaceful and balanced. Mountains, flowers, birds, and the sky are things we see around us, and I wanted to bring that feeling into my work. Adding glitter helped the artwork stand out and gave it more life and texture.
This piece is also a personal reminder that calm and beauty can exist even in a small space. You don’t need a big area or expensive tools to create something meaningful. While working on this project, I felt relaxed and focused, especially while drawing the mountains and spreading the glitter by hand.
The pictures of flowers and trees were placed in the middle to make the artwork feel alive, while the birds at the top give it a sense of openness. The rainbow and blue background add brightness and complete the scene. Every part was arranged slowly, with attention and care.
Overall, this project reflects my love for simple crafts and creating with what I have. It shows that with patience and creativity, simple materials can come together to form a complete and satisfying piece.

MATERIAL USED

Carton cardboard
Foam sheet
Wax gum
Top Bond glue
Black glitter
Blue glitter
Marker
Scissors
Decorative card

STEPS

Cut a circular shape from carton and foam.
Attach the foam to the carton using wax gum.

Cut out pictures of flowers, trees, birds, and a rainbow from a card.
Draw mountain shapes on the foam with a marker.

Apply glue on the mountain areas and spread it with your
thumb. Sprinkle black glitter to form the mountains.

Glue the flower and tree pictures at the middle. Place the bird pictures on top. Add the rainbow and blue glitter to represent the sky. And that was all about the wall decoration piece
