Sometimes the most meaningful creations are not made for money or display but out of love and purpose.
This fascinator was handmade by me for my brothers wife for their wedding. Their wedding colour is white and instead of buying something ready made I decided to create it myself. Craft is not just my occupation it is something I genuinely love doing. I enjoy working with my hands and turning simple materials into something beautiful and meaningful.

I make different kinds of fascinators but this one was special because it was personal. Making it for my sister in law felt like a privilege. Knowing that something I created would be part of such an important day meant a lot to me. It reminded me why I started crafting not just to sell but to serve to express and to contribute in my own little way.

What touched me most was the reaction from my in laws. They were genuinely happy and proud. Seeing their joy reminded me that something beautiful can truly come out of our hands when we give our best.

MATERIAL USED
Bishop cap
Alice band
Veil net
Glue gun
Wax stick
Artificial flower
Artificial feathers
Ribbon
Needle and thread

PROCEDURE FOR MAKING THE FASCINATOR

First I placed the bishop cap on the table. I carefully positioned the veil net first and after I place the artificial feathers on the cap where I placed my net until I was satisfied with the arrangement. Once the feather was well positioned I used my wax gum to attach them to the bishop cap. After fixing them with wax I used needle and thread to sew and hold the feathers down properly so they would be very firm and secure.

After that I added the artificial flower. I positioned the flower neatly on the cap and fixed it in place to complement the feathers and give the fascinator a balanced and elegant look.

Next I picked up the fascinator and positioned the Alice band inside the bishop cap. I applied wax gum to secure it in place and then used a ribbon to tape it down firmly. This helped to ensure that the Alice band stayed in position and that the fascinator would sit comfortably on the head.
After checking that everything was firm neat and well arranged the fascinator was complete.
